Happy to share my thoughts on a recent 5GAmericas white paper. As we move into the age of 5G-Advanced networks, there's already quite a bit of research and strategizing that's starting to take place for 6G. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the UN body that shapes the standards that will go into the next generation of wireless cellular networks. And one thing we need to get absolutely right in the US is ensuring we have enough spectrum available for commercial use. There's so many opportunities that 6G will be able to deliver down the line if we can continue to build on the technological advances that 5G networks are capable of today. This white paper takes a look at the ITU's framework for 6G in a document called "IMT-2030". It gives us a solid idea of the kinds of things that will be necessary to deliver on 6G. https://lnkd.in/diJRu77P

In Finland, 5.5G or 5G Advanced has already been introduced by DNA, whose network with the new technology already achieved several frequency bands by connecting speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s . Operators operating in Finland have not yet announced the commercial implementation of 5G Advanced.
