Did you know we're now offering apprenticeships for Emergency Care Assistants? 🥳 There are six spaces available, and the 13-month course will start on the 30th of September. After starting at £18,000, you can expect your salary to rise to £30,000 once the apprenticeship is complete. Applicants must hold Maths & English at GCSE Grade A to C or Grade 9 to 4; or Functional Skills 2 in Maths & English. In 2023, 123,335 students applied to study a medicine or healthcare-related course, with almost 1/3 of them expressing interest in apprenticeships. Apprenticeship programs are one of the many ways companies can provide direct access to training the talent of the future. Through its high school apprenticeship program in partnership with CareerWise New York, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is creating pathways to careers in the healthcare industry. This apprenticeship program, in action since 2021, provides hands-on training, paid work experience, and a pathway to full-time roles for New York City high school students. From administration to supply chain, MSK is committed to building a skilled workforce while creating economic mobility for the next generation. Recently, MSK celebrated the expansion of this program into careers in radiology, making it the first healthcare company in New York City with this kind of apprenticeship. In fact, MSK is taking apprenticeships one step further by providing apprentices with tuition assistance.
