IVF is an important infertility treatment and is widely used as assisted reproductive technology treatment. Over the past few decades, the advances in IVF have made this method of impregnation very popular with patients and doctors, and in terms of availability and cost, it has become easier even in low- and middle-income countries. Technological advances in IVF have exceeded imagination with the cryopreservation of surplus embryos. The North America market is the dominating market owing to the prevalence of co-diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and government support for sperm and egg storage is contributing to market expansion. In the U.S., IVF success rates for women under 35 rose slightly overall in 2020, with 47.2% of cycles ending in one child, compared to women over 40 who used their eggs and embryos, where 7.2% of cycles resulted in live births. In addition, recently opened fertility centers and fertility compensation practices are driving the demand for infertility treatments, among others. #ivfmarket,#fertilitytrends,#reproductivehealth,#infertilitysolutions,#ivftechnologies,#fertilitycare,#embryotechnology,#assistedreproduction

🔬 World’s first live birth using eggs matured outside the body successful In a world-first, a live human birth that used an ovarian support cell (OSC) technology that matures eggs outside the body has been successful. Unlike traditional IVF methods, which rely on 10 to 14 days of high-dose hormonal stimulation to mature eggs, this new method – named Fertilo – uses engineered, young ovarian support cells to recreate the natural egg maturation process in a laboratory setting. This process replaces 80% of hormone injections required with traditional IVF, and reduces the duration of treatment cycles to just three days, offering patients a more comfortable and less invasive experience. 💬 Dr Dina Radenkovic Turner, CEO and co-founder of Gameto which has developed the technology, said: “By overcoming the major challenges of conventional IVF, such as long treatment cycles, significant side effects, and the emotional and physical strain, Fertilo provides a potentially faster, safer, and more accessible solution for families. "This milestone marks a turning point in reproductive health and highlights the first application of iPSC technology in IVF and the immense potential of our technology.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/eE-uwWbB #womenshealth #womenshealthmatters #femtech #healthtech #genderhealthgap #research #innovation #healthequity #gynaecology #reproductivehealth #equalities #healthinequalities #women #medtech

Fertilo is a fertility method that uses stem cells to mature human eggs outside the body — and the first baby conceived using this method was just born: The first baby conceived using a revolutionary fertility method known as Fertilo has been born at the Santa Isabel Clinic in Lima, Peru. Developed by Gameto, a female-led biotech company, the Fertilo technique uses ovarian support cells (OSCs) derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to mimic the natural egg maturation process outside the body. Unlike traditional IVF, Fertilo avoids 80% of the hormone injections and reduces the treatment cycle duration to just three days, making it faster, safer, and less invasive. Gameto’s CEO, Dr. Dina Radenkovic, hailed the achievement as a “turning point in reproductive health,” emphasizing how the method alleviates physical and emotional strain often associated with conventional IVF. The Fertilo technique has already gained regulatory approval in several countries, including Australia, Japan, and Mexico, with plans for Phase 3 trials in the US. For the mother of the first Fertilo baby, the innovative approach made the journey to parenthood less stressful and more accessible, offering hope to millions of families worldwide.

The procedure involves administering hormonal medications to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, which are then retrieved and fertilized with sperm in a controlled laboratory environment. The resulting embryos are monitored closely, and one or more healthy embryos are selected and transferred into the woman's uterus for implantation. The chances of pregnancy decrease after the age of 32, with a further reduction by age 40. The average age at which women are conceiving for the first time is rising, leading to various pregnancy complications and increased infertility risks. Factors such as delayed marriage, career prioritization over family planning, and economic instability are contributing to this trend, driving the adoption of IVF treatments globally. These trends are contributing to the growth of the IVF market in Japan during the forecast period. *𝗕𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁: Reagent, Cryopreservation Medium, Embryo Culture Medium, Egg Treatment Medium, Sperm Processing Medium, Device, Imaging System, Incubator, Freezing System, IVF Cabinet, Egg Suction Pump, Sperm Separation System, Micromanipulator System, Others, Accessories *𝗕𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲: Fresh donor, Frozen donors, Fresh non-donor, Frozen non-donor *𝗕𝘆 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲: Conventional IVF, ICSI-IVF, IVF with donor eggs *𝗕𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿: Infertility Clinic, Hospital, Others *𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀: Boston IVF, Monash IVF Group, Pelargos IVF, Ovation Fertility, Shady Grove Fertility, Bangkok IVF Center, Bloom IVF #JapanIVF #InVitroFertilization #IVFJapan #ReproductiveHealth #FertilityTreatment #AssistedReproductiveTechnology #FertilitySolutions #JapanFertility #IVFMarket #InfertilityTreatment #JapanHealthcare #FertilityCare #FamilyPlanning #MedicalTourism #JapanHealthcareIndustry #WomenHealth #ReproductiveMedicine #FertilityTrends #PregnancyComplications #JapanMedicalInnovation
