Some of our junior doctors have confirmed they will strike for a second time, from 7:00am tomorrow (Thursday 16 May) until 8:00 am Saturday 18 May. All emergency departments will remain open and hospital patients will receive safe care. Please attend any scheduled outpatient appointment or treatment, unless you have been contacted directly. People with non-urgent ailments or injuries should contact their GP in the first instance. Anyone unsure about whether they need emergency department care should contact their GP or call Healthline (0800 611 116) for free advice.

On behalf of the Academy of Acute Care Physical Therapy, we’re sharing an important survey with you! Outcome measures are an integral part of physical therapist practice and implementation can have a multifaceted effect on patient care delivery. This clinical practice guideline (CPG) from APTA Acute Care was developed to identify a core set of outcome measures for adults requiring acute care hospitalization. "BACK TO BASICS" "PUTTING PATIENTS FIRST" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, let's be serious, how adequate is that thinking in our current super fast, over digititalised, over burocratic and modernised world? Do we as HCPs still have the time to properly care and assess a patient? Or do we even want to? Do we still have the time and motivation to spend more than a few minutes per patient, especially as we have to sell them more medical exams as insurance systems reduce coverage? Global shortage of HCPs and centralisation of high profile treatment modalities is definitely not helping. What is the solution? MORE HCPs!!!!!!! More motivation!!!! Where, how? Easy "BACK TO BASICS" on HCP level as well. What do you think??? #healthcareprofessionals #quomi #becausewetreatpatients #backtobasics #patients #puttingpatientsfirst
Evidence shows that patients who feel they are not heard or respected by their doctors experience poorer outcomes. Read more on https://lnkd.in/ecX3JNBP #quomihealthcare #quomi #medicalcareers #patientcare #patientexperience #doctorpatientrelationship #GoodDoctor #StudyMedicine

The addition of needed medications per patient increases the likelihood of negative drug interaction side effects, which can lead to unnecessary falls for patients. Having an integrated behavioral health program can help skilled nursing centers recognize these patients who are at risk. https://lnkd.in/ehUjaitZ #MedicationSafety #DrugInteractions #BehavioralHealth #PatientCare #Healthcare #NursingLife #PatientSafety
