#Healthcare >> EU eHealth maturity: progress towards 2030 As of the end of 2023, the average eHealth maturity score for EU27 was 79%, up 7% from 2022. The best results were shown by Belgium (100%), Denmark (98%), Estonia (98%), Lithuania (95%), and Poland (90%). This progress indicates important changes, including greater access to medical data through electronic health records. Over the past year, 22 EU countries have improved their scores, with France (+25), Portugal (+23), and Slovakia (+20) leading the way. However, a number of challenges remain, including access to medical images, which remains limited (available in only 26% of countries). Private healthcare facilities are less integrated into eHealth systems than public ones (55% vs. 74%). The challenge for the coming years is to ensure citizens' full access to electronic medical records and wider integration of different types of medical data, including examination results and medical images.
