Did you know we teach our clever dogs both audio and visual cues? These include ‘Sit’, ‘Down’ and ‘Wait’ as well as other cues in their highly-skilled soundwork. Some deaf people don't use spoken language to communicate, so having the option to also use hand signals throughout their hearing dog partnership is essential. This also means every hearing dog graduates from training ready to support their deaf partner, whatever their preferred method of communication may be. Here is miniature poodle Nelson showing just how clever he is.
I love this! 😍
