9.29: Commitment This week, I accomplished a personal goal by meal prepping nine meals, covering the entire week. Typically, I prepare six or seven meals, often leaving some unfinished due to unexpected events. This time, however, I completed them all. It took around two hours, but the time invested in meal prepping once a week far outweighs the daily effort after work. This approach definitely enhances productivity and well-being. #MealPrep #WorkLifeBalance #Productivity

The Cost-Cutting Move That Accidentally Boosted Our Productivity It all started with a lunchtime wahala 🍲. Our office lunch service – you know, the daily rice and stew combo we’d come to depend on – was suddenly on the chopping block. The “Cost-Cutting Measures” email came in 📩, and just like that, our one solid perk was about to disappear. No more jollof deliveries? How on earth were we going to survive without it? 😩 We groaned, complained, and mentally prepared ourselves for the hunger strikes ahead. But then… something unexpected happened 🤔. Without those daily deliveries, people started bringing their own food from home 🍛. And all of a sudden, lunchtime became something else. We would gather in the breakroom, swapping stories while warming up our containers of rice, beans, or egusi. The real magic? Those casual, everyday conversations started turning into impromptu strategy sessions 💡. We were bouncing ideas off each other, solving work issues over plates of home-cooked meals. The result? Productivity shot up 🚀. Work moved faster 💼, teamwork strengthened 💪, and surprisingly, morale didn’t drop. Cutting the lunch service didn’t just save us money – it got us closer as a team, bringing a fresh wave of collaboration and creativity 🌟. Here’s the twist: Sometimes, cutting back on the luxuries forces us to find hidden benefits 🌍. Less lunch deliveries, more “togetherness” and ideas over amala and soup 🥘. So, what’s one change your company made that unexpectedly boosted productivity? Let’s gist! 🍽️ #CostCutting #Productivity #Teamwork #Collaboration #Innovation #BusinessOptimization #GrowthMindset

The concept of Sunday Dinner is so important, in both life and work. I try to make dinner for my family every Sunday. Usually, I pick something that takes a long time to make, not just because it tastes better, but because it forces me to be mindful during the cooking process. Also, there is something about the intentionality of a large meal that encourages everyone to talk. How did our week go? What are we planning next week? How are we feeling about life in general? At the end, we all end up feeling closer as a family and prepared for the future At work, we aren’t necessarily sitting down to beef bourguignon or crawfish etouffee every week with our colleagues. However, there are other ways to bring the underlying principle of Sunday Dinner to the workplace. Maybe it’s through alignment or catch-up meetings. But regardless of method, it is important to take the time. Be mindful and present. And before contract negotiations (yes, of course I have to mention contracts), take the time to have a sit down, in person or virtually, with all internal stakeholders for a chance to communicate and get a gauge on their concerns and hopes. What are some ways that you bring Sunday Dinner to the workplace? Figuratively or literally. #business #contracts #work #AESSEAL #HR
