Delegate Keeping Your House Fresh🗑️💦✨ Every morning our nanny empties the dishwasher, checks whether the trash and recycle bins are full, and on an as-needed basis completes the remaining tasks below: 1. Empty and run the dishwasher 🏠 2. Take out trash and recycle bins on designated pick-up days 🏠 3. Bleach, clean, and sterilize specialty appliances when needed (i.e., sinks, humidifiers, iPads, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc.)🏠 4. Empty and clean flower vases every two weeks or once wilted🏠 5. Flip diffusers throughout the house every week 🏠 While our nanny is performing all of those duties, my partner and I are spending more quality family time with our kids. We made it clear in our interview that we needed someone to help with childcare and the management of our home, and we pay accordingly ($35/hour). If your nanny isn't comfortable with extra duties or a higher rate, consider supplementing with a housekeeper. As a gift for your partnership, invest in weekly housekeeping to eliminate common conflicts like dirty laundry or missing supplies.
