Incredible achievement, Stephen! What you and The 9CC Group have accomplished absolutely deserves this award - it truly is transformative in terms of generating community wealth. You're showing how communities can work together to create something inspirational. The 9CC Group isn't just generating wealth - together you are building a brighter future for Scotland. By bringing together 9 Community Councils together with your strategic partners, you're creating a ripple effect from local economies to environmental sustainability. You're not just building community wealth - you're building stronger, more connected, more trusting communities. The 9CC Group should be a blueprint for community success, lighting up the way for others across Scotland and beyond. Energy providers, policymakers, and community leaders are clearly taking notice, and for good reason. This isn't just about financial returns - it's about showing how local action can drive real change. Looking forward to seeing how your model continues to inspire and transform communities. You're proving that when we invest in each other, the returns are mutual. Here's to setting new standards in community wealth development and sustainable growth! Keep leading the way. #CommunityDevelopment #Sustainability #ScottishInnovation #SocialImpact #CommunityInvestment #CollectiveImpact #RuralDevelopment #CommunityWealth

In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, today we are sharing more about our 2024 Case Study Awardee, Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA). MEDA supports Latinx residents and small business owners in the Bay Area, one of the fastest-gentrifying metro areas in the country. Their key anti-displacement strategies aim to safeguard the neighborhood’s rich Latino immigrant heritage and economic strength while addressing the ongoing challenges of small business stability within a gentrifying neighborhood. MEDA’s three commercial anti-displacement strategies focus on: -producing new community-owned commercial spaces -preserving existing commercial spaces, and; -creating land use and real estate tools that support small businesses and community-based organizations. Recent wins include the construction of six new affordable housing buildings, which provide 10 new community-owned affordable ground-floor commercial spaces. SBAN will be tracking the impact of these strategies - stay tuned for more in the coming year! Small businesses are the driving force of the New Orleans economy, representing more than 80% of the total businesses and accounting for over 65% of jobs. Mastercard #StriveUSA grantee, the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA), is focused on demonstrating to the world how New Orleans is a premiere American city for business investment, quality of life, and inclusive economic opportunity. A public-private partnership, NOLABA is the official economic development organization for the City of New Orleans and we’re proud to support their work assisting small businesses owners and advancing economic development in historically disinvested New Orleans neighborhoods. Discovering, preserving, and sharing your family's history is crucial, but it's not always easy. Müllerhaus Legacy offers trustworthy, high-touch assistance to multigenerational family businesses, HNW/UHNW families, and the advisors who serve them. We understand the five most common heritage preservation concerns: 1) Their oldest stakeholders are not getting any younger. 2) They need help researching knowledge they've already lost. 3) Although they know family and business history is essential, they've put it off for a long time— — BECAUSE 4) They don't know where to start, — AND 5) They're too busy running the business to do it right. #familybusiness #familyoffice #legacy
