While grocery shopping this weekend with my family as we prepare for the upcoming week, I made a huge discovery at my local Costco Wholesale...they have rocket ships! 🚀 Ok, maybe not a real rocket ship, but try convincing my little boy of that. My Little Astronaut: "Dad! I got a rocket ship! Look at my rocket ship!" 👨🚀 🚀 The rocket ship may not be real, but the big smile on his face was real. This is why #customerservice efforts matter. Every Costco worker that has checked our receipt takes a brief moment to draw a picture(s) on the back of our receipt for our kids. Ongoing list of things my kids love getting at Costco: Smiley faces😊 Flowers🌻 Hearts❤️ Stars⭐ And now...rocket ships🚀 Small gesture, big impact. Costco fosters a culture of care, encouraging their employees to extend this level of attentiveness throughout the entire customer journey. From start to finish (even when checking our receipt on the way out), Costco and its employees demonstrate genuine concern for my family's experience. It is obvious to me that Costco does not view customer service as transactional, but refreshingly relational.
