Happy Friday everyone! How did you start your morning? I started my morning watching our co-CEO do her thang on The Today Show... Key Takeaways I took as a consumer: 1. You can uncrack your eggs and freeze them in an ice cube tray?! Genius. 2. Buy in bulk or larger sizes for the best deal. (Doesn't help me with my consumption limits, but definitely helps save $ in certain categories like cereal) 3. I can give Costco gift cards to non-Costco members! Who knew? Key Takeaways I took as a CPG Partner: 1. For Cereal brands - your consumer promotions strategy is key to maintaining healthy sales. 2. For Snack brands - generate much needed awareness in a saturated and noisy category to drive the conversion and loyalty you want to maintain with your shoppers. Their kids are demanding it! Feeling energized as I walk into an upcoming vacation week during the 4th of July Holiday! I'm going to implement my new learnings above as I head out to the store to prepare for my vacation. What are you going to do? Take a look at this short video and let me know what you learned. https://lnkd.in/gmUW7p-2 The Krazy Coupon Lady #consumerpromotions

Poundland Extends Range Of Products Priced At £1 31st October 2024 Poundland is looking to attract budget-conscious shoppers during the run-up to Christmas by increasing the number of items available at £1 or below from around 1,000 to 1,500. Poundland-£1From tomorrow, this will include a range of everyday essentials such as milk, bread, sugar, and eggs being reduced to £1. In addition, new fresh produce stands will rolled out in over 520 of its stores, offering items such as apples and oranges at £1. The reductions to £1 include two-litre milk down from £1.45, 800g Kingsmill brand cut from £1.25, six free range eggs down from £1.50, and 1kg Whitworth sugar reduced from £1.10. Poundland stated that the move will mean its typical core range of approximately 5,000 items will have around a third priced at £1 or less. Meanwhile, it has also launched a ’12 deals of Christmas’ promotion, covering different festive essentials. The offers across grocery and general merchandise items will change each Wednesday between now and Christmas. CJ Antal-Smith, the chain’s Commercial Director, said: “Most retailers look to re-focus customers on high-price, big profit items at Christmas as customers splash the cash. “While we have everything you need at Poundland for an amazing Christmas, we’re not going to forget the importance of everyday essentials that are the bedrock of every home’s cupboard and fridge. “Amazing value milk, bread eggs and sugar will be every bit as important to customers this Christmas as they look to keep within their budgets.” Poundland has suffered a significant fall in sales in recent months due to challenges related to the introduction of new Pepco-sourced clothing and general merchandise ranges. NamNews Implications: *. What a festive selling point… *. …reinforcing Poundland’s core offering… *. …in a manner difficult for rivals to replicate. *. …(given recent inflation pressures and yesterday’s Budget) #PoundShops #Poundland

We all love a bargain don't we. But where do you draw the line on not compromising quality. A big one for me is BIN BAGS... Okay this is a bit weird but... Buy cheap buy twice. You hear it a lot. And tbh, a lot of the time it's complete codswallop. You just have to look at the growth of Aldi and Lidl in recent years. But these bin bags are a great example of where paying a bit extra is a worth it for me. 🔥 Reliable - no bin juice dripping over the floor 🔥 Durability- no holes in the bin bag meaning I have to double bag and then go through them twice as quick 🔥 Easy to use - It may be me here but I hate it when i'm trying to rip the bags and can't find the place or then i try and it starts ripping the cheap bags. Nightmare. We all want to save money. We just need to make sure we save it in the right areas. And that will be different for everybody. Because we all have different priorities. For me, I draw that line at bin juice...

#Awareness# As I don't want to spoil some big brands, so not listing the names. I've 3 big chain of supermarket closeby, I prefer as per my grocery list + price wise (cheaper), 1 for #Veggies, 1 for #Utilities, 3rd for #IndianTadka (taste). All the incidents are relatively same and I experienced it twice in each supermarket. To start with, let me tell you about an habit, m not sure if it's good or bad, but after every shopping, I ensure to check the higher values on my bills. 1st Incident :- I was charged #AED25.00 for 50g Raisins whereas the item I picked from Raisins Shelf was clearly mentioned #AED5.50. Upon verifying with the billing person, his facial expression completely changed. He called other people & the store manager. Upon identifying, I was told that they forgot to remove the promotional price. 2nd instance:- I brought groceries, paid the bill & while walking out from the supermarket, I was having a look on the bill & noticed that i did not take any Berries then how come I have a chage for #AED23.75, I immediately rushed inside & asked for clarification. They removed all the items & started checking each bag's price tag & observed Bittergaurd which should be charged #AED3.75 is billed #AED23.75. 3rd Instance:- (this one is really funny) In the same grocery shop, I picked up Broccoli which was #AED17.25 per kg, however, when I went to punch 100grms Broccoli, the price tag was #AED57.64, I immediately asked him about the figures, he walked to the brocoli counter upon knowing it's #AED17.25, he apologized & changed the price tag. 4th Instance:- (it happened today) At the shelf it's mention #AED0.99 as a promotional price for an item which was originally #AED3.99, I picked 3 to 4 items, (definitely, a lady been a kitchen queen & home minister, who doesn't like promotions when it comes to Grocery). At the billing counter I was looking at the figures for each item that was getting punched & noticed that the promotional item is punched at its original price. In order to be double sure, I discussed & took the lady along with the Manager to show the rack & price it was clearly mentioned #AED 0.99 per piece. Guess what happened, they not only denied that it is under promotion, when I requested to cancel the item, they still charged me for that item without putting it in my shopping bag. As I have mentioned above, I am smart na, so while double checking the bill, I asked the reason for charging #AED3.99, whereas I requested to cancel the item, the lady expressed her anger, went to call her Manager, then finally, upon verification, checking my shopping bag, I got my money back. P.S:- Ensure to double check the bill, as every penny is hard earned, so let that not go vain because of silly ignorance or just been busy in our Device. Thank you for reading.
