Saturdays (weekends) are for charity also 👇 If you're looking for impactful ways to help vulnerable children and families in your local community on weekends, here are four things you can do: 1. Volunteer your time, skills, or resources at local organizations. 3. Donate to organizations that work to support them. 4. Offer emotional support to families who are struggling. 5. Educate yourself and others about the issues to raise awareness. P.S. It's important to remember that every family is special and unique, no matter where they live or what challenges they may be facing. Whether it's poverty, substance use, food insecurity, trauma, or physical and mental health, many families in every community go through these struggles, and it can put them at risk of breaking down. Let's remember to do our best to support and uplift all families. When was the last time you made a difference by donating to a charity? Share your experience and inspire others to give back, too. The #wealthiest municipalities in two of NJ's largest counties, send local youth in crisis to the #poorest municipalities in the state. I have a problems with this. Forcing youth to leave their #community, school, peers, and self-created support systems hours away in an unknown area makes them afraid to get help. We are in the midst of an #adolescent mental health crisis. Abusive relationships, drug and alcohol use, #suicide, and homelessness are increasing tremendously among our youth. They need safe places to turn. #Safe places for mental care. Opportunities for youth and families to work on preventing further crisis. CLCL Foundation cannot be that without you. Please, #donate today for youth 10 to 19 who are in crisis, runaways, homeless, stepping from inpatient care, and more. https://lnkd.in/g3jXfQJp ##BeTheChange #ChooseLove ##CelebrateLife #HelpOurYouth #Help #Donate #Volunteer

Our CEO needs your help to reach her target 😁 Homelessness is real, and we all can make a positive impact. Please share, donate and spread the word - no one should sleep in the cold this winter. Every donation, helps get a homeless person off the street, have access to a hot meal, and programs to help them get back on their feet. Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, we need your support. Will you help our CEO to reach her target? Donating can make a huge difference to people who need it most. Together, we can make a difference! Let's do this! https://lnkd.in/gweVWi6M #homelessness #support #awareness #impact #ceosleepout

Today we’re launching 𝑊𝑎𝑙𝑘 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑇𝑎𝑙𝑘 𝑏𝑦 𝐶𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑒, our latest 𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 campaign partnered with Lifeline. Suicide is an issue that rarely receives the attention and resources needed to prevent tragedy. With more Australians lost each day to suicide than the road toll, nobody’s left unaffected by this silent crisis, including the Cater Care team. Now, we’re inviting team members to raise funds and awareness for Lifeline by walking 65 kilometres throughout May - one for each thousand Australians who attempt suicide each year. Every dollar raised will go towards recruiting Crisis Supporters who will answer calls and texts to make sure nobody is left alone in their darkest moments. If you’d like to join the challenge, you can start by cheering on our walkers, having those important conversations about mental health, and donating to a team of your choice. To learn more about this challenge and how you can show your support, check out the link below! https://lnkd.in/gCux76Nr #csr #lifeline #community #corporatesocialresponsibility #support

I am once again asking for your help. September is National Suicide Prevention Month. I know it's a dark topic but we need to talk about. In the USA alone, we lost around 50,000 people in 2023 and even more have attempted and even more than that suffer from mental health issues and suicidal ideation. There is a good chance that you are either directly or indirectly impacted by these facts. It may be you, a loved one, a coworker, a neighbor, etc. who is struggling. Maybe you or someone you know has lost someone. We need to openly talk about this subject. We need to bring it out of the darkness and into the light so that we can help everyone who is struggling. Life is precious and NO ONE should suffer alone. What's the ask? PLEASE DONATE and help me raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - San Francisco Bay Area chapter. The "Out of Darkness Walk" is on September 14 for San Francisco. You can donate via the link below. Even $5 can make a huge difference. If everyone who followed me donated $5 we'd have around $35k. https://lnkd.in/gEXPtUia If you are in the USA but do not live in San Francisco but still want to get involved, check out afsp.org to find your local chapter and see the ways you can help make a difference. If you are not in the USA, look into what your country or city offers. #nationalsuicidepreventionmonth #letssavelives #outofdarknesswalksf

Thousands quietly show they care—this inspires me every day! I’m so grateful—and inspired—to share that Union Gospel Mission (Vancouver) is now ranked #5 among the top charities in BC by revenue raised for 2023! What inspires me most isn’t the number itself—it’s what it says about our communities. At a time when public dialogue can feel heavy with negativity about poverty, homelessness, and addiction, this ranking tells a different story: thousands of people quietly giving, showing how deeply they care. Yesterday was #NationalPhilanthropyDay, a reminder of the power of generosity. This ranking is proof of that power. It shows kindness and compassion that doesn’t always make the news but changes lives every single day. This isn’t just about dollars. It’s about meals for people who are hungry, safe spaces for those who need shelter, hope and recovery for those struggling with addiction, care for the most vulnerable. As we head into winter, this is such an important season for giving. The need is great, but seeing this generosity gives me so much hope. Thank you to everyone who supports this work—you’re making a real difference. https://lnkd.in/g8A2WDeA #Gratitude #CommunityImpact #UnionGospelMission #SeasonOfGiving #Philanthropy
