🤔 How to get more UK-grown beans on UK plates is the focus of a new report from 3Keel consultants Katie Jones and Julian Cottee. 🥘 The BeanMeals project focuses on two quick-cooking bean varieties developed for UK growing conditions by the University of Warwick. The Capulet and Godiva beans, as they are known, are suitable for a wide range of easily-prepared institutional and home-cooked meals with lower fat, salt and sugar content. 📊  The report from 3Keel analyses the ‘missing middle’ in the bean value chain – the processing, manufacturing, logistics and trade operations for beans. 🛣  It identifies three pathways to get UK beans from farm to fork with growth potential, outlining the enablers, barriers and outcomes of each pathway.
