Market research forecasts that design-build will continue to experience growth over the next three years — accounting for nearly half of all construction spending by 2026. Despite this impressive growth from what was once considered an alternative project delivery method, there are still many myths surrounding design-build that need to be dispelled. Myth #1: Owners / Agencies Lose Control in a Design-Build Project FACT: When done right, owners/agencies in a design-build project are engaged from the start to the completion of the project. There is also a single point of responsibility on a design-build team, making it easier for the owner/agency to coordinate details, convey concerns and make adjustments. The collaborative nature of design-build allows the owner/agency to be involved in all aspects of the project. In fact, the owner/agency is expected to be fully engaged in order to make timely decisions. Active participation increases the likelihood the project will meet the expectations of the owner/agency and various stakeholders. You can count on HP Legacy to keep you in the loop every step of the way, streamlining communication and planning efforts for the best outcome. #DesignBuild #BuildBetter #BuildALegacy #Construction

Every kind of peaceful cooperation among men is primarily based on mutual trust. - Albert Einstein Design-Build is when an Owner enters into a single contract agreement for both Design & Construction. Design-Build is more than a sole-source contract. It's intended to be a highly collaborative, fully integrated undertaking built on TRUST, mutual respect, teamwork, innovation and creative problem solving. Design-Build works best when everybody makes the commitment to think and act as a single entity focused on achieving project goals. Design-Build is growing to be the most commonly used project delivery method in the USA. An FMI Corp market study projects Design-Build to represent over 47% of spending for construction projects by 2026 & will account for $1.9 trillion in spending nationwide over the next five years. Owners, in a Design-Build project are engaged from start to completion. There is usually a single point of responsibility on a Design-Build team, making it easier for Owners to coordinate details, convey concerns and adjust. The collaborative nature of Design-Build allows the Owner to be involved in all aspects of the project. The Owner is expected to be fully engaged in order to make timely decisions. This engagement helps the Design-Builder to meet the expectations of the Owner resulting in fewer changes, fewer claims, and less conflict! #DesignBuild #CommercialConstruciton CMAofwi.com

The Design & Build approach is reshaping the construction industry, with an increasing number of projects embracing this model. However, the design development phase often poses challenges, as costs and time can be major obstacles in the pitching process—partners are reluctant to invest significantly until they see strong user feedback and trust for winning the Award of works. This phase is critical, as it can determine the success or failure of a pitch. To address this, we've launched a new vertical offering rapid Design solution at an affordable price. Market research forecasts that design-build will continue to experience growth over the next three years — accounting for nearly half of all construction spending by 2026. Despite this impressive growth from what was once considered an alternative project delivery method, there are still many myths surrounding design-build that need to be dispelled. Myth #4: Design-Build Is Not a Good Delivery Method for Designers FACT: When the design-build team follows Design-Build Best Practices, designers play a prominent and ongoing role throughout the project, and their significant level of effort should be acknowledged. This provides the designers with the opportunity to excel and deliver exceptional, innovative projects. Additionally, with this delivery method, we are designing to build, not designing to bid. The designers are working directly with a specific builder throughout the iterative design and construction process, not designing for a yet-to-be-identified builder. HP Legacy values having open communication with designers. Successful projects capitalize on each individuals strengths and design-build allows each position to focus on providing their best, every time. #DesignBuild #BuildALegacy #Construction

Here's a revolutionary idea. Not every Client (that's you) wants architectural services tailored to their needs. At least not at first. WTF? Investing in an architect IS WORTH IT (a 1040% return on every dollar in fees, to be exact) but this doesn't help you make progress when a project is still taking shape. A service can't be tailored until the the project is very well understood, which is a process worth paying for in itself. When an architect does this for "free" it creates a situation of obligation. The architect now "needs" your job because they've spent time tailoring a proposal, but you thought you were just seeing if you wanted to go down this path at all. This is a situation ripe for frustration. And if you want to compare two architects, each architect will tailor in a different way, making it difficult to compare their offerings. And by the time you've processed all that you're mentally exhausted and go talk directly to a builder who isn't a designer at all! GASP! Architect GP makes it really easy to talk with an architect and to understand the critical factors of your project really fast. That all saves you time, money and cost for the life of the project. Over the next few weeks we'll be featuring some client stories and how Architect GP has helped people in real situations with our simple fixed price services. Architect and Client alike get to cut to the chase and work things out. Stay tuned! #architecture #design #support #homesupport #designservices #designsupport #renovationsupport #projectmanagement #projectsupport #ArchitectGP #renovation #reno #homebuild #homereno

The design-build approach is revolutionizing the way projects come to life. By fostering a collaborative environment, this method brings together project owners, contractors, and designers under one contract, creating a unified team with a shared goal: the success of the project. The beauty of design-build lies in its inherent collaborative nature. From the outset, stakeholders are encouraged to work closely, blending their expertise to optimize both design and construction processes. This synergy not only streamlines workflows but also enhances communication, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued. Moreover, design-build paves the way for innovation. With various stakeholders working in tandem, creative solutions are more likely to surface, addressing challenges efficiently and effectively. This method also allows for flexibility, accommodating changes swiftly without the need for cumbersome contractual adjustments. Cost savings are another significant benefit. The collaborative approach of design-build minimizes errors and reduces the need for rework, directly impacting the bottom line in a positive way. Additionally, the method can fast-track project schedules, reducing the time from conception to completion, and ultimately delivering projects on time and within budget. In essence, design-build is not just a project delivery method; it's a philosophy that champions cooperation, mutual respect, and a collective drive towards excellence. As we continue to embrace this approach, the future of construction looks brighter, more efficient, and infinitely more collaborative. 🏗️🤝 #CIVE #EngineeredWithValue #construction #turnkey #verticallyintegrated #DesignBuild #Collaboration #ConstructionInnovation #ProjectManagement
