🌱 Sustainable Networking: Embracing Eco-Friendly Business Cards 🌍 At Metis, we're proud to be B Corp certified, a testament to our dedication to making a positive impact on the planet and society. Our journey towards sustainability doesn't stop at our services; it extends to every aspect of our business, including our networking practices. When recently needing new business cards, and in our search for eco-friendly options, we discovered Mobilo, a company offering a unique initiative. Their unique initiative consists of planting a tree for every business card purchased through them. They have pledged to plant a tree via a trusted third-party organisation, a non-profit focused on global reforestation called One Tree Planted. Without hesitation, we made the decision to proceed with Mobilo, resulting in over 70 trees planted on behalf of Metis. Today marks a significant day, the beginning of Global Goals Week.   Global Goals Week takes place from 20-29 September, and we wanted to take the opportunity to showcase not only what it represents, but also our own progress on the 9 measurable targets we selected in 2019.   This year, we have made excellent progress on all remaining goals, and even completed our fourth goal: to divert four million kilograms of technology from landfill.   We are looking forward to making more progress on our 5 remaining goals as we enter the final year of our pledge:   -Achieve £2.5 million savings for healthcare organisations -Establish long-term relationships with 35 health and wellbeing charities -Contribute 5,000 hours to the education of young people around sustainable digital practices -Donate 100,000 kilograms of technology to education bodies around the world -Donate 1,500 cubic feet of waste as resource   Learn more about the Global Goals through the link below: https://lnkd.in/ezx4WN7A

Small Habits Lead to Big Changes ♻️ This was the theme for KCR UK's #KCRforEarth project this summer! As part of our ongoing commitment to #sustainability, KCR launched the initiative this spring and allocated to each KCR country team for the implementation of earth-friendly practices. The KCR #UK team went above and beyond, developing a point-based reward system based on the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals. At the end of the project, the employee with the most points received funding to donate to a #charity of their choosing. Need some inspiration?
