We've come a long way, but there is still work to be done to improve women's health outcomes. A significant barrier is the lack of funding. Currently, only 4% of healthcare research spending goes towards conditions that primarily affect women. That's why we're excited about the Biden-Harris Administration's recent announcement: the "ARPA-H Sprint for Women's Health." This new initiative will invest $100 million to accelerate women's health research. With more funding like this, closing the gender health gap becomes more possible.
