Capsule to capsule?! Can a coffee capsule made of #aluminum become a coffee capsule again? That's a challenge we, together with the Austrian Coffee and Tea Association (KTV) and ARA - Altstoff Recycling Austria AG, have taken on. In just six months, Austria collected over 120 tons of coffee capsules through our recycling initiative.  More than 9 million capsules were gathered, marking a 22% increase since the project’s launch in October 2023. Supported by key partners, including leading coffee producers, retailer Billa Plus, packaging manufacturer Greiner Packaging, and us, Constantia Flexibles, the project has been extended until June 2024. Capsules are processed at the SECCON facility in Upper Austria, transforming waste into valuable resources like aluminum and biofertilizer. Great news from Zafree Paper ! We’ve just wrapped up the first phase of our pilot, successfully delivering virgin pulp from banana farm waste and producing Kraft paper that meets global standards. Huge thanks to our partners Kuriftu Paper Mills , AB InBev @Hansa Beer, and the 100+ Accelerator for making this happen! This is just the beginning – next, we’re moving into phase two, where we’ll be producing Hansa Beer trays. The success of this first phase is a major win, and we’re excited for what’s to come. Up next? We’re in preparation to set up a factory with the capacity to produce 100 tons of pulp per day, which will not only help meet Ethiopia’s pulp demand but also position us as global leaders in sustainable Virgin pulp and paper production.
