✊🏽 PCITI: Redefining the Standards of Community Intervention 💡✨ The Professional Community Intervention Training Institute (PCITI) emerged from the BUILD Program (Brotherhood Unified for Independent Leadership Through Discipline), our nonprofit umbrella organization committed to advocacy, community engagement, and empowerment. 🔍 Why was PCITI created? For too long, our work was narrowly labeled as "gang intervention," overlooking the comprehensive scope and professional capacity required to create lasting change. PCITI was born to change that narrative—setting a new standard of excellence in community-based intervention and safety. 📈 Our mission is to empower practitioners to work effectively at every level—from street environments to municipal, governmental, and community-based systems—while showcasing the infrastructure and processes behind this transformative work. 💡 PCITI isn’t just training—it’s a movement for systemic change. Help us spread the word about the transformative work of PCITI! Share this post and tag someone passionate about building safer, stronger communities.🏙️🤝. 🎥: @4thflr #BUILDProgram #PCITI #CommunityEmpowerment #ViolencePrevention #LeadershipDevelopment #AdvocacyWork #SocialImpact #PublicSafety

Recent media coverage concerning Stephen Ireland and Pride in Surrey: Windsor and Eton Pride was established with a clear vision to promote inclusivity, safety, and community support for all. We are aware of the recent news stories concerning criminal charges brought against the Director of our neighbouring Pride organisation in Surrey. We want to make it unequivocally clear that there has never been any formal connection between our two organisations. In pursuit of our vision, we have prioritised the establishment of a qualified Safeguarding Lead, alongside implementing robust safeguarding policies and procedures for our growing volunteer organisation. All our committee volunteers are briefed on these policies, and DBS checks are mandatory for those most likely to interact with potentially vulnerable groups. Our SafeSpace4All initiative is a comprehensive scheme that enables local businesses and organisations to demonstrate their commitment to our values of inclusivity, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and safe in their spaces. This initiative is more than just a sticker on a website or window—it includes signposting to support and training for anyone who needs it. The allegations against members of a neighbouring Pride organisation are deeply disturbing, and we fervently hope that justice is served for any victims and their families. It is also crucial that the legacy and reputation of the global Pride movement, of which we are a proud part, remain centred on understanding and inclusivity. The reprehensible actions of individuals should not be allowed to undermine decades of progress or be used as an excuse for fostering intolerance or hate. This situation must not overshadow the incredible work our organisation and organisations like ours are able to achieve through our committed volunteers. For media inquiries, interviews, or further information regarding the SafeSpace4All Scheme, please contact : Steve Harris or Kirsty Northam Windsor & Eton Pride Kirsty@windsorpride.co.uk – Trustee & Communications Lead Steve@windsorpride.co.uk – Chairman

Big shout out to Mark Medelis for being a nominee on the RCSA QLD/NT Council! If I were an RCSA member I’d definitely be voting for him. Having worked with Mark for almost a decade on bids, I can say he’s one of my top three clients! His leadership, communication, conflict resolution and business acumen has taught me (and external consultant) so much. I can only imagine what his technical team learns from him. If you are an RCSA member and are keen to vote for Mark, reach out to him to understand him better before voting closes on 7 October. Anyone who’s ever worked with me knows I don’t put my name behind just anyone 😊 If you’re in recruitment and want a genuine leader, he’s it! The recruitment sector needs leaders who care about all stakeholders - from recruiters to clients and candidates, all. And who take a stand for ethics and doing what’s right. Striking that harmony isn’t easy but if I’ve seen anyone demonstrate that 100% of the time, it’s Mark. All the best to him! P.S. And, no. I’m not giving him a shout out because a client (he didn’t ask me to do this!) 😊 This post is because I genuinely believe in his business and have seen the proof of his leadership over a decade. #RCSA #recruitment
I’m grateful to be aligned with an organisation like RCSA Australia and New Zealand, whose values of integrity and professionalism resonate deeply with my own approach to work, as well as to Concentis and our mission. If elected to the RCSA QLD/NT Council, I’ll work to: - Understand our members’ needs and identify opportunities for growth. - Enhance the RCSA’s services and products to support recruitment professionals. - Foster collaboration to ensure our industry thrives in a fast-changing world. - Guide and mentor the next generation of recruitment professionals to develop care and pride for their industry and work Thank you to my fellow nominees and best of luck!
