When it comes to cybersecurity and the Department of Defense (DoD), a few key points come to mind: 1. Critical Infrastructure Protection: The DoD's increasing reliance on interconnected systems, from satellites to command-and-control networks, means that cybersecurity is crucial to protecting critical infrastructure. A breach could not only compromise national security but also disrupt essential military operations. 2. The Evolving Threat Landscape: Cyber threats are continually evolving, with adversaries using more sophisticated tactics like AI-driven attacks and supply chain vulnerabilities. The DoD must stay ahead by investing in cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and training personnel to identify and mitigate these advanced threats. 3. Collaboration and Information Sharing: Effective cybersecurity in the DoD requires close collaboration with other government agencies, private sector partners, and allied nations. Sharing threat intelligence and best practices is vital for creating a unified defense against common adversaries. #CyberDefense #DoDCybersecurity #CriticalInfrastructure #CyberThreats #NationalSecurity #InfoSec #AdvancedThreats #CyberResilience #MilitaryCyber #TechAndSecurity

Two years on from its initial establishment, the Cyber Defense Assistance Collaborative (CDAC) threat intelligence sharing platform—led by the ThreatQuotient team and supported by Recorded Future, Cyber Threat Alliance, Mandiant (now part of Google Cloud), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and others—marks another significant stride in CDAC’s ongoing mission, addressing the need for collaborative and real-time threat intelligence to Ukraine. This is a groundbreaking effort in terms of tailored intelligence support coming from a multinational set of private sector players and governmental organizations fused together to help Ukraine in the ongoing conflict. Thanks to all CDAC participants for their ongoing support and dedication to this critical work.
Since the February 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Cyber Defense Assistance Collaborative (CDAC) has worked to supply real-time threat intelligence to critical infrastructure and defense organizations throughout Ukraine. With the help of the Cyber Threat Alliance, ThreatQuotient, Recorded Future, and Mandiant (now part of Google Cloud), and support from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, CDAC has developed a groundbreaking threat-intelligence platform. Thanks to a collaborative public-private partnership that leverages high-quality intelligence from private companies and the government, the platform enables recipients to focus their defensive resources on high-risk threats by providing de-duplicated and customized data. This threat intelligence platform marks another milestone in CDAC’s efforts to bolster Ukraine’s cyber defense. Public-private partnerships are a regular topic in government and international cyber strategy discussions -- but we can't always define the term nor explain precisely what they're supposed to do, nor how they're supposed to do it. So here's an example of a public-private partnership in action: CDAC cyber threat intelligence-sharing in support of Ukraine. Slava Ukraina!
