Did you know that work stress related absenteeism costs Dutch companies €3.3 billion yearly? And who is most affected by it? Gen Z - with nearly half of the generation experiencing constant stress and spiking burnout rates at work. All while making up around 30% of the workforce until 2025. A reality that can no longer be ignored. As TEDxAmsterdamWomen speakers, Jasemen Nassab and I bonded over this challenge after we first met preparing our big talk. We agreed that just supporting individuals is not enough for long term change. We must bring generations together to evolve systems in order to elevate well-being at the workplace. That’s why we’ve partnered to create an exciting new workshop - equipping leaders and young talents alike with skills to cultivate understanding. For both individual well-being and systems change. The bigger problem reveals a deeper truth - friction between generations creates tension that can block progress. Through interactive sessions, we focus on intergenerational collaboration, knowledge sharing, and lifting up diverse voices. This builds the trust and tools needed to tackle burnout at its roots. On this IWD, we want to celebrate women coming together across generations to drive change. When we unite our strengths, we can reinvent systems that work for all. Want to lead the way?
