imm cologne's January 2025 edition will not place place, due to a difficult local market and lack of exhibitor demand, organiser Koelnmesse GmbH has confirmed. By doing so, we can plan logistics in advance and organize collective transport 🚚, optimizing our carbon footprint. In practice, this means we focus on ensuring that truck trailers are optimally loaded. For instance, if an event is 40 days away, and we have one full trailer and another half-filled, we seek additional clients to fill the remaining space 📦 This approach allows us to maximize space efficiency, for example, we know a half-trailer can accommodate a booth of 50-60 m2, and we won't accept orders for larger booths once we're at capacity. This strategy helps us avoid situations where we have to send vans for individual booths, which are reserved for our regular customers. Our order acquisition process is designed to be optimal in terms of sustainable transport and resource utilization. We encourage you to send us your brief. We will respond within 24 hours to let you know if we can accommodate your booth. Together, let's take care of our planet 🤝. In today's video, our colleague Lena Strauch gives you a short overview about how it works: 1. Registration & slot booking in advance Register your vehicles online for access to the exhibition centre. Book time slots for loading and unloading. Add the drivers' details to your booking – they will be informed of the planned call-off via e-mail and/or SMS. 2. On-site check-in for drivers Upon arrival at the lorry parking area, the drivers register at the designated areas and receive a confirmation for the booked time slot with directions to the relevant loading yard. 3. Driving in & loading or unloading At the booked time, the drivers will receive a call (SMS/personal call) to enter the exhibition centre. After loading or unloading in the time slot, the vehicles check out and leave the venue.
