Here's a quick ten minute podcast on our lastest news: We won an award for best impact start up at the Alhambra Venture awards last week. So here's a conversation with our CEO Ignacio Gavilan about it, and the progress we have made turning large volumes of real waste (not chicken feed) into sustainable protein and fertiliser (samples are now available, let us know if you'd like some) https://lnkd.in/dAtwjDBk

The challenges facing #greengrowth startups are different from the ones that faced tech startups of the past. According to Axel Reinaud, cofounder and CEO of the greentech NetZero (and former BCGer), "Either you're going to need to rebuild assets because the current assets are not efficient enough from an energy standpoint, or you're going to need to build new assets, for example, for carbon removal." Join Axel and BCG global climate and sustainability lead, Hubertus Meineke, on The So What from BCG (https://lnkd.in/eBT2EKtN) #podcast for all the details on the green-growth revolution and the possibilities and challenges it brings with it for anyone wanting to get in on the opportunities.

A second Monthly Dose of Inspiration with socially impactful and creative initiatives 💥 . This time, a slightly more curated list with only three subjects instead of seven. Please also share your inspiration in the comments 💡 ! 1. The first innovation I'd like to point out is the plasma recycling startup Cyclize from the University of Stuttgart, founded by Maike Lambarth, Dominik Novakovic, Jan Stein, and Stephan Renninger. 'Our plasma technology ♻ will allow the reformation of waste plastics into new intermediate chemicals, which are ultimately used to create new products. This approach has the potential to mitigate CO2 emissions as well as plastic waste pollution. Depending on the desired product, our process can even be carbon negative by using carbon dioxide as feedstock.' It's a promising startup that just finished their $5,434,225 seed round. Hopefully, more investors will help this startup to make the necessary, sometimes risky investments to scale industrial hardware. 2. The second one is Lenny's Podcast 🎙 with Brian Chesky (host: Lenny Rachitsky). One of the best podcasts I've heard in a while. An episode about his playbook, which turned Airbnb from a tech giant with slow and divided teams into an efficient organization that strives for excellence. I feel like there are a lot of interesting points within this episode, especially the subtle difference between micromanaging and being invested in the key areas of your product as a leader. Meaning you need a product or service-knowledgeable leader instead of the mistake you see almost everywhere, where political and administrative leaders are being preffered. Put the real product and service leaders in place and support them with the also important political and administrative aspects. The podcast episode: https://lnkd.in/e7s8yt3G 3. The third and final dose of inspiration is the Undercover Activist Academy, founded by Tessa Wernink and Veronique Swinkels. They support employee activists to be effective at creating change. I work at an innovation network within the Dutch Police (Q Politie), which also started with an activist approach and has now grown into a mature network of innovation labs. It fascinates me how we can support changemakers within organizations, to actually realize change 🎯 . You can find the Undercover Activist Academy here 👩🎓 : https://lnkd.in/e-JNZXi6 https://lnkd.in/emAgxunh #monthlydoseofinspiration #mdoi #undercoveractivist #tessawernink #veroniqueswinkels #socialimpact #innovation #postiveimpact #lennyspodcast #brianchesky #cyclyze #recycle #co2 #plastic #universityofstuttgart #Q #Qpolitie
