Institute for Child and Family Well-Being’s Post

Neglect constitutes to almost 70% of the reasons children enter foster care.   Neglect often stems from systemic issues such as poverty, lack of access to resources, and social isolation. Family separations also disproportionately impact families of color (Kim, 2021). By addressing the root causes of neglect, we can prevent unnecessary family separation and keep children with their families where they belong.   Join us on April 8, 2024, for our seminar day entitled "Empowering Communities: Innovative Strategies for Preventing and Responding to Child Neglect," as we explore the prevalence and intersectionality of poverty and neglect while building a shared understanding on how we can support families overloaded by stress.   Register here: https://lnkd.in/eQ-GupvX
