Drinks, Chocolates, and Haggis Fuel Scotland’s Festive Grocery Spend! 🛒 Scottish take-home grocery sales rose by 2.5% in the 12 weeks leading to 1 December, driven by early Christmas preparations and St Andrew’s Night celebrations. Promotions surged by 11%, as shoppers looked to stock up on seasonal treats and essentials. Comfort and indulgence are at the heart of spending this year. Hot chocolate sales and chocolate confectionery both rose by 14%, as we embraced the cold weather with sweet favourites. Spirits sales climbed 14%, but the real showstopper was Champagne, with a sparkling 49.5% increase compared to last month!
