What an amazing day we had training Nauset Regional High School athletes on Conflict Resolution and leadership skills. RJ circle practices were implemented, allowing everyone to be heard and the playing field to be leveled. It is always beneficial to see athletes develop not only their physical abilities but also their leadership skills. #ConflictResolution #LeadershipSkills #RJCirclePractices #AthleteDevelopment

Meet Chris Fagan 🦁 , the coach of the Brisbane Lions AFL team, who just led his team to a Grand Final victory. 🥉 At 63, he’s the oldest coach to achieve this and the first to win without playing at the elite level. 💪 But what truly sets Fagan apart is his leadership style. Fagan is a game-changer. Rather than coaching in the traditional sense, he guides, mentors, and manages his players, helping them harness their unique strengths for the benefit of the team. His leadership is a reminder that great leaders don’t mould people into their image—they empower them to be their best selves. It took eight years, with five finals appearances before securing the title. Patience, trust, and focusing on team culture were key. In an era of instant gratification, where success is expected quickly, the Brisbane Lions could have easily replaced Fagan when results weren’t immediate. Instead, they believed in the process, improving year after year. 💂♀️ This valuable lesson applies to both personal growth and the corporate world—consistent effort and a mindset of continuous improvement lead to lasting success. Whether in sports or in business, like at Midson Finvest, building trust, long-term partnerships, and staying committed to the process of growth are key ingredients for success. At Midson Finvest, 💥 we believe in empowering our clients and focusing on sustainable, long-term strategies that deliver high yields—because just like the Lions, patience and persistence pay off. And remember, even Rome wasn’t built in a day... but we’re pretty sure they didn’t have Fagan coaching! 😋 #LeadershipLessons #TrustTheProcess #TeamCulture #ContinuousImprovement #Patience #ChrisFagan #BrisbaneLions #MidsonFinvest #CorporateGrowth https://lnkd.in/gFVMnyek

"Losers assemble in small groups and complain to each other about other players and coaches. Winners however assemble as a team and find the way to win." This quote comes from Hall of Fame football coach Bill Parcells in a speech he delivered regarding champions and pretenders. Who do you assemble with and what do you talk about with these people on your team? Do you complain or do look for ways to get better and win? Are you a positive fountain of value or a drain that sucks the value out? The answers to these questions are an easy way to see if you are on the winning side of the culture. Focus on making a positive contribution to your team. Stick with the team and do the work!

CHL Players in the NCAA; It's Coming. Is Your Child Ready? Well known NHL agent Allan Walsh recently went to social media to break the news. In the next 30 days, CHL players will be granted NCAA eligibility. This has been speculated for quite some time but given the inevitability of this happening, it will be a truly "game changing" moment in the elite hockey pathway and will have MASSIVE implications for the entire hockey ecosystem. From minor hockey through to "tier 2" junior A (CJHL, USHL, NAHL, etc.) to major junior, the NCAA (obviously) and the NHL...literally everything is changing. The full scope and scale of this impact is not entirely clear, however, what is absolutely clear is competition for NCAA roster spots will be MUCH higher. Couple that with the complexities and exciting opportunities that NIL (name, image, likeness) presents scholar-athletes and we're experiencing a seminal moment in the sport of hockey. Differentiation for scholar-athletes has never been more important. Having a plan and sticking to a process to ensure you stand-out will very likely be the difference between realizing your dream of playing collegiate hockey (or not). Hope & chance are NOT a strategy. Taking ownership of your pathway and being SMART about how you attack it, IS. We can help you map your path and coach you to the next level. 🥇 🏉 Communication is KEY 🏉 🥇 There's a lot of lessons corporate and tactical teams can take from watching sports! One of these lessons is about the important of effective (verbal/nonverbal) communication. The clip below is from the 2015 Ruby Final match between the New Zealand All Blacks vs. the Australia Wallabies. A couple of key points I want to point out from this clip: 1. Richie McCaw’s Leadership: As captain, Richie McCaw was constantly communicating with his teammates, directing them in both attack and defense. His leadership and clear communication set up the play leading to Barrett's try. 2. The Setup Play: Before Barrett scored, the All Blacks executed a series of well-coordinated passes and offloads, showing excellent communication among the players to maintain the flow of the game and break through the Australian defense. 3. Beauden Barrett’s Anticipation: Barrett’s awareness and communication with his teammates allowed him to identify the gap and sprint down the field to score the try. His ability to read the game and communicate his intentions resulted in one of the most memorable moments of the final. Now, applying that to your team, we see that effective communication comes from the TOP. Leadership is responsible for setting the expectation and overseeing the execution of effective communication and mission success. Let me show you some skills that you can put in to practice that will help you take your team to the next level and get you communicating for success. #communication #performance #rugby #sportpsychology #coaching #teamwork #leadership #professionaldevelopment #keynote #publicspeaking #teambuilding #sports #corporate #tactical #effective #execute #goals #success https://lnkd.in/ghwNHCHf
