Its Internships Season As we continue to navigate through the internship span of the year, the reality of unpaid internships remains a stark issue. I've come to realize that many firms continue to offer unpaid internships, especially during peak times like this period when students are in dire need of gaining experience and building their portfolios due to mandatory requirements of universities. Unpaid internships tend to exploit young professionals by not compensating them for their meaningful contributions and hard work. It's high time we address and reassess the ethical implications of unpaid internships. Let’s advocate for fair compensation for all interns to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to kick-start their careers on the right foot.

Hi All, I remember around this time last year, seeing my LinkedIn feed flooded with peers posting their #internship offer letters. College professors emphasized the importance of having an internship on your resume to stand out during campus placements & I would feel behind. Having spoken to some of my peers, I know most #unpaid internships teach you little to nothing as let’s be honest, you will just end up cloning a repository with similar specifications as your projects. Most #recruiters know what you "learn" in these unpaid internships. So, there's no advantage there. There is a way to get an advantage though. It is by showcasing initiative & knowledge of basics via certifications. I have made a video where I talk about different courses and internships to learn as well as get a certificate.
