Great conference! Lots of good insights into how actuaries can move the dial on sustainability and AI. Oh, and then there’s IFRS17 too.

At the 9th Annual Task Convention in 2024, I gained invaluable insights in various topics such as AI, ML, IFRS 17 etc just to mention a few. Discussions on AI highlighted its potential to drive sustainable practices in businesses. The sessions on IFRS 1, IFRS 2, and IFRS 17 emphasized the importance of transparent reporting and accountability in our business and ensuring compliance. We also learnt on important soft skills that Actuaries require on their day to day activities such as Interpersonal skills, communication (removing the jargons) and ethical judgement . In overall, the convention underscored the critical role of Actuaries in the financial Institutions and frameworks which we cannot afford to ignore. #9thAnnualTaskConvention #2024
