Excited to share insights from my presentation at the 11th African Evaluation Association in Kigali, Rwanda this March. My presentation, titled "Cyclone Idai's Evaluation Odyssey:Technology and Participatory Approaches Intersect," delves into a critical shift in evaluation methodologies amidst evolving contexts. In the wake of Cyclone Idai, conventional #evaluationmethods proved insufficient, prompting a paradigm shift towards #innovativemethodologies. This presentation underscores the pressing need for evaluators to adapt and refine their approaches, particularly in disaster contexts. By merging technology and participatory approaches, we're navigating new avenues for effective evaluation. This fusion not only enhances the accuracy and depth of our assessments but also fosters greater community engagement and empowerment. I'm passionate about advancing evaluation practices to better serve communities in times of crisis. Let's continue exploring these intersections for impactful and meaningful evaluation outcomes. #Evaluation #Technology #Participation #DisasterResponse
