We all know that otters are special animals - not only are they wonderful animals to watch but they are great indicators to a healthy environment. And yet they are being exploited for commercial gain and in some places hunted almost to extinction. Their habitat is being destroyed and fish stocks depleted. And they are being killed on our roads. The International Otter Survival Fund (IOSF) is one of the world's leading otter charities. In the UK, IOSF is the only charity solely dedicated to the conservation, protection and care of #Otters based on over 20 years of scientific research in the UK and around the world. #Otters #Conservation #Wildlife https://lnkd.in/en8pcraS

Flames have torn through farms, leaving nothing but ash and devastation in their wake. For our wildlife ranchers, the destruction is unimaginable. Livestock left without food, and wildlife habitats obliterated. Families and workers are left standing amidst the ruins of their homes and businesses, unsure of how to begin rebuilding. Imagine waking up to this devastation, with nothing but the clothes on your back, wondering how you’ll feed your children, your employees, or the animals that depend on you. Every bit of help counts — and that’s where we come in. Your donations will be used to transport essential feed and supplies to these hard-hit areas. It’s not just about feeding livestock; it’s about providing hope in a time of despair. The need is urgent, and together, we can make a meaningful difference to those who have lost everything. Let’s come together to help rebuild what these fires have destroyed. Every donation brings hope, food, and a chance to start again. Did you know? Environmental nonprofits are receiving less than 2% of charitable dollars! Out of $471 billion donated to nonprofits in 2020, only $8 billion went towards environmental causes. It's time to prioritize our planet! Let's support organizations dedicated to conservation, wildlife protection, and land trusts. Every little bit counts towards a greener, healthier future for all. #EarthWeek #SaveThePlanet #EnvironmentalJustice #SupportGreenCauses #RedstartCreative #MarylandNonProfits #MarketingForNonProfits

WARNING footage maybe distressing for some ⚠️‼️ In the footsteps of giants: 40 years battling extinction, 40 years left to win 🐘🐅🦏 Today, we celebrate the launch of our ‘In the footsteps of giants’. Will you join us in the FIGHT to eradicate poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict against elephants, rhinos and tigers? With as few as 420,000 elephants remaining, less than 5,500 wild tigers and only a remnant of black rhinos left alive today, their future looks bleak. These iconic species need our help in order to survive and thrive for another 40 years! In just a 20-year period, 100,000 elephants were being relentlessly killed EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. It was an unimaginable blood bath and part of David’s motivation to act and establish DSWF. 40 years on, these species are still recovering from the brutal wounds of these poaching wars, and the scars and consequences run deep. As the threat of reopening the ivory trade reestablishes itself, tomorrow’s promise depends on today’s action. Your donation, no matter the size, can make a significant difference. That’s why we’re asking you to donate what you can to help us raise £40,000 in celebration of 40 years of unwavering conservation work to ensure we can protect these iconic animals for at least another 40 more. As wedding and graduation season approaches, we know that dove releases are planned for many events. Would we release a bunch of domestic cats far from home for entertainment and see if they make it home? We're unsure why it's ok to do that for pigeons and doves, when we wouldn't do it for any other domestic animal. The truth is - ceremonial dove releases are cruel. Happiness for these birds is having shelter, protection from predators, food, their flock. We take that away from them when they are released for show. Don't support dove/pigeon releases. We don't do it for dogs, cats, pigs, cattle, etc, so why would we do it for any other domestic animal? Oakrock.org #nonprofit #charity #animalrescue #farmanimals

In a world that's often focused on metrics, KPIs, and bottom lines, it's easy to lose sight of something profoundly important: the impact we have on others. Engaging in charity work alongside my colleagues has been both refreshing and incredibly rewarding. It's reminded me that success isn't just about individual achievements—it's about lifting others up as we climb. Through such experiences, I've seen firsthand how small actions can create ripples of positive change. Whether it's volunteering time, donating resources, or simply spreading awareness, every effort counts. These acts of kindness not only enrich the lives of those in need but also bring a profound sense of fulfillment to those who give. Working in a place that encourages and supports these efforts has reinforced my belief in the power of collective goodwill. It's a reminder that when we come together to make a difference, we build stronger, more compassionate communities—and, ultimately, a better world. Here’s to continuing this journey of giving back, with the hope that our collective efforts inspire others to do the same. #CommunityEngagement #CorporateResponsibility #Leadership #PurplePassion

If you want to give a gift that’s Easter-bunny themed but won’t put animals at risk of harm, consider: Donating to a small animal charity! There are many groups working to protect and re-home small domestic animals like rabbits. A donation to one in someone’s honour can be a beautiful gift that keeps giving. Volunteering! Between humane societies, wildlife rehabilitators, and small-animal rescues, there’s no shortage of places needing help. Give some of your time with a loved one to help animals directly this way. Chocolates or candies! A gift of rabbit-shaped or themed (and plant-based) chocolate or candy is another fun way to enjoy the season and provide joy without putting animals at risk. If you are STILL interested in adding a rabbit to your family, please look up a local rescue who can ensure you have the best possible information to give your new family member a great and long-lasting life!

As March is B Corp month we wanted to share an update on Meadow Mission, an initiative that was born out of the accreditation process. Since 2021 we've donated 2% of turnover to create wildflower meadows, a vital habitat for bees with our charity partner Plantlife International. To date, with our customers help, we’ve planted over 20 acres! We've lost 98% of our wildflower meadows since the 1940's which is a vital habitat for honey bees as well as many other invertebrates, mammals, bats, and birds. Meadows also store carbon. There is some research suggesting that a flower-full meadow can store 30% more carbon than a flower-less meadow. As Black Bee Honey grows and requires more honey we need to ensure there's more biodiversity to support the bees producing it. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e5Uqr_iy #bcorpmonth #bcorp B Lab UK
