Practicing and improving soft skills is essential, but there is often a lack of meaningful feedback or communication with job applicants who are no longer being considered. While I understand that recruiting can be a demanding job, a new and better standard is necessary. Engagement should not be a one-way street and only be addressed when there are issues like high turnover or long average time to fill positions.

One of the most common questions I get is: "is it okay if I follow up with the recruiter / hiring manager?" The answer is unequivocally yes 💯 Don't be annoying about it (ie follow up with them daily). But it's 100% fine if you follow up every two weeks, or after an agreed upon date passes where you don't hear anything. Try not to overthink it. You got this ❤️🤝
