𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐰, I missed this huge Orange sign at the top of the stairs of the Sheffield Office, despite coming in 2 or 3 times a week. (𝐼 𝑏𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑙𝑖 𝑋𝐶𝑋 𝑎𝑙𝑏𝑢𝑚 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑒…) One thing you can’t miss though, is the 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞 number of vacancies we have across the whole of Realise. Thanks to growth and new contract wins, we’re looking to recruit across most areas of the business. We pride ourselves on making a real impact on the lives of our learners, and that’s something you can do – learner facing or not! You can view all of our vacancies at https://lnkd.in/gx9bUFYK. Don’t see something you like? We have a place for you to upload your CV, and we can reach out if we see something that suits your skillset. There's always been a lot of 'noise' about recruiters spending just 6-8 seconds (on average), reading your CV, so you need to make it stand out and be easy to read. However this got me thinking... How long on average does a candidate spend reading a job advert before applying? With 'Quick Apply', there's never been an easier time to apply for a role, however from personal experience, I'd say at least 85% of candidates do not read the job advert they are applying to. This post isn't to say don't apply to roles unless you meet 100% of the criteria, but if the advert says they're looking for someone onsite 5 days a week in Cambridge, and you're based in Manchester, not looking to relocate, then it's unlikely to go anywhere... Don't be afraid of applying to a role you're suitable for, because it says there's 100 applications already - if you meet the requirements, you're ahead of the majority of applicants already! If you're not sure if you're suitable, or would like to hear about any other possible roles, then contact the recruiter directly to see if they have anything else that could be a better fit. #QuickApply #Applications #Cambridge #JobApplications #8Seconds

Harlan Cohen might be the best person to answer this question but I wanted to ask my HR/Talent/Recruiting friends a question. This morning is the first time I can remember that I have gotten a resume that states Education: Institution "Direct Entry". I understand now that this is an honor and means the student was guaranteed acceptance before they even applied. The student didn't have to be reviewed or go to another school first to get some "help" before getting admitted. Does this matter to hiring managers? Are we now not only looking at a candidate's education but judging the candidate based on whether or not they were directly accepted by the school? Do we care if the candidate went to another school or to community college first? Do we care if the candidate for less than stellar high school grades or financial reasons had to go some place else then transfers to an institution? Mike Jenkins would agree that this is not a factor in my recruiting efforts for Ascension St. Vincent. I am looking for candidates who have the education, the licensing, the experience, the personality, the work ethic, etc. needed to get the job done well. I am also personally acquainted with stellar individuals that did not take a straight education path, and I promise, you would agree they are living their best lives. Have a great day! And pursue your dreams even if the path is not direct!

It's getting into silly season within the Education Recruitment market where morning and ad hoc bookings tend to go through the roof and you will have to tell clients that you have ran out of teachers! 🤯 Although it's a positive problem to have it can also come with a risk! If you cant fill that booking, your client is either left in the 💩 or will have to go to one of your competitors... giving them a foot in the door! So a few tips on how to protect your business if this does happen 👇🏼 ⭐ Keep in regular contact with your client ⭐ Spec in your available teachers to show you have a strong pipeline ⭐ Visit your clients and do service reviews ⭐ Drop into schools where your teachers are to show your appreciation. ⭐ Keep clients updated on your recruitment strategy and what you are doing for their school to help staff it. If you can be visible to your clients during this period it'll show them that you still have candidates available to work, but stress to them about booking early to get the best ones! ✌🏼✌🏼 #educationrecruitment

As we approach the end of the year, a number of people are considering whether or not they should pause recruitment until the New Year as there is a misconception that it is now too late. However, now is the best time to get in touch with us to ensure you have the right person in the position on time. ✨ Many lawyers consider new opportunities during the summer period - we often have an influx of lawyers contacting us in January of each year. By beginning your recruitment now, you position yourself ahead of other organisations and attract candidates who are considering new opportunities. ✨ Lawyers often have notice periods ranging from 4-12 weeks, which means starting early is essential. By commencing your recruitment process now, the successful candidate will be able to start by February or March 2025 in many cases. Contact me for a coffee or a Teams call if you would like to discuss a strategy for commencing recruitment this side of Christmas. 📞+64 27 816 9899 📩 apryl.burgess@robertwalters.co.nz Wellington: Isabella Cathcart | Lucy Simpson Auckland: Rosamund More | Kate Williams | Annabel Johnstone | Hannah Lewis | Emma Toogood Christchurch: Ketki Acharya Robert Walters | Shay Peters | Bridget Clarke | Steph Lyons #legaljobs #legalrecruitment #lawjobs
