Trauma Bonds often go unspoken about all too often, but as a life coach who once thought she was recovered from the trauma I went through in my teenage years I had no idea that I was still carrying signs of a trauma bond until I eventually saw a therapist. So, you see this is why we need to not only be talking about trauma bonds, but how to overcome them as well, with healthier habits and healthier ways of talking to ourselves. Find out more about this in the article I have written linked below and please repost this to help raise awareness. #trauma #traumabonds #overcoming #findingstrength #lifecoach #mentalhealth

How Easy Is It To Clear Childhood Trauma? Actually, releasing emotions and clearing trauma is relatively straightforward, but you do need to identify the event that's holding the emotions - which is not necessarily the one you remember. A client enjoyed a terrific release over the weekend which wasn't on the original 'traumatic' event; of which he had never spoken - never told a soul. No, the trauma and shame that he had lived with for 40 years came from an event five years later when he witnessed the shock and horror in his family that the perpetrator had recently done it to his cousin. This hit him like a bolt out of the blue. The guilt of not telling anyone and the realisation that, if he had, his cousin might have spared the ordeal. Shame arrived and the innocence of childhood disappeared on that day. His life was totally changed from where it had been the day before. We cleared the trauma on that event. Afterwards, he could see that holding on to something that he couldn't talk about had affected him greatly. It had been an undercurrent in his life that was always present. After the clearing he spoke to me about the original event, which he could now see was not his fault and he had nothing to be ashamed of. Can you imagine the freedom and relief he experienced? Clearing trauma doesn't have to be traumatic. If you're being affected by long-lost but ever-present trauma, DM me for a confidential, exploratory conversation about the freedom of releasing it. Trauma in adults can be a silent intruder. For many, the signs of trauma manifest in ways that might not scream 'trauma' to the outside world or even to themselves. It might show up as overreacting to minor stresses, having unexplained emotional outbursts, or feeling a constant undercurrent of anxiety. These reactions aren't always recognized as signs of trauma, and as a result, many adults may not understand why they feel or act the way they do, complicating their relationships and daily life. Adults dealing with trauma might find themselves avoiding certain places or people without knowing why, feeling persistently on edge, or having difficulty trusting others. These responses are protective mechanisms, deeply ingrained by past experiences that felt threatening. If this sounds familiar, it’s important to know that you're not alone, and more importantly, help is available. Recognizing these signs is the first step towards healing.
