𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐀𝐈 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐟𝐟 On September 4th, the kick-off of Austria's first future-oriented #GenAI community took place, to foster cross-industry dialogue, aiming to collaboratively learn, reduce mistakes, and harness the rapid development of GenAI for value-driven outcomes.🤝 leiwand.ai CEO Gertraud Leimueller Leimüller was invited to talk on trustworthy AI, drawing attention to the potential disadvantages certain groups can face when AI is developed and deployed. Gertraud was joined by, Linus Kohl from Fraunhofer Austria, Christian Hamböck from viesure innovation center GmbH, and Daniel Valtiner of Infineon Technologies Austria, who all provided their significant knowledge and shared their experiences on working with generative AI. Digital transformation will only succeed together - Driving forward with the OPEN innovation community and our customers 🚀  Digitalization is a team sport. It doesn’t work alone - for example, if you want to create collaborative and cross-company engineering. That's why we rely on partnerships and are proud to be part of the new OPEN innovation community.   OPEN is supported by the new DATIPilot funding guideline from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Unlike traditional funding concepts, DATIPilot is based on agile working methods that have proven particularly successful in software projects. This enables partners to get new projects off the ground and into practical application more quickly.  What makes innovative communities like OPEN special?  Partners from business, science and education create an ecosystem in which ideas can be turned into funded projects at lightning speed.  Project ideas are pitched and a committee decides on funding promptly. There are no long, drawn-out application processes.   What we find particularly exciting is that we can involve customers in projects at short notice.  And how exactly do customers benefit from this? An example: A customer has defined the requirements for a new automation solution in their engineering system. Now he wants to automatically transfer the requirements to the manufacturer's engineering tool, select the appropriate components and then transfer the configuration to his engineering system in a standardized form. The sticking point: his engineering system does not (usually) speak the same language as the manufacturer's engineering tool. In order for his engineering system to "understand" the standardized descriptions of the components and the manufacturer's overall solution, he needs a suitable interface. "This is where DATIPilot comes into play," explains our colleague Markus Kiele-Dunsche, Innovation Manager. "As part of DatiPilot, we work together to add the right interfaces to customer engineering systems. This closes the gap in the use of standardized interfaces and helping to ensure that data and information from manufacturers' IT systems can be exchanged and processed automatically. What a fantastic start to our journey at the Merantix AI Campus! A big thank you to everyone who joined us at the ERGO Innovation Lab for our first panel on multimodal #GenAI. We were honoured to host such inspiring speakers, including Appu Shaji, Khaled Rifai, Jakob Pörschmann, and Mark Klein, moderated by Georgina Neitzel. One of the key takeaways from the panel was the importance of identifying use cases where AI can really make a difference and add value. As AI tools become more integrated into our daily work, helping to make tasks more efficient, the focus is shifting towards developing strong judgment skills. These skills are crucial for making the best decisions with AI support and ensuring that the technology is used in the most effective way. This raises an important question: How do we build these judgement skills in a world where AI becomes a regular part of our work routines? Here is an example of how Omniverse makes it easier for us at EDAG Production Solutions to plan production facilities as a collaborative platform. We also support you in using Omniverse so that you can visualize and coordinate complex 3D models and simulations in real time. In the second part of the video, you can see how questions about project management and implementation are answered based on EXP's AI bot and then visualized in Omniverse. This first proof of concept shows how we envision future project management.
