Thank you to Flotation Energy and Cobra Infraestructuras Hidráulicas for taking such good care of the Cork crew - what a great experience, a good few takeaways to reflect on and ponder on. The future is absolutely green energy and both fixed and floating are the future, along with solar and wave. The benefits to us as a country and for all our communities is just incredible but we still have work to do to get to where we need to get to but Ireland has the expertise, the waters and more importantly the people. Just by way of information Kincardine is a floating windfarm with just 5 turbines 13.5 km from the shoreline all connected to he grid producing electricity to 50k homes roughly so imagine what we could do. Unfortunately only one was spinning due to maintenance (they have to do this in the summer due to weather) - we were lucky to get out, the trip after us was cancelled. It just shows you people who work in the maritime world and go to sea are to be commmended it’s not an easy task - all food for thought - now back to selling houses.
