PICKING UP THE PHONE HAS IMPACT... Speaking with people, and I mean actually speaking with them resonates. Because professionals increasingly hide behind emails, messages, and not-so-social, social media. We're hiring at Umbilical and I have received a tonne of interest, which I'm working through, following an important day of annual leave on Friday for my Wife's birthday. NOW... One way to expedite the process is to call me. Because ultimately that's what I ask of our people here at Umbilical. To lead with the phone whenever possible. To lean into the human dimension of our industry. To create an opportunity for yourself by dialing your application to the front of the queue! And that's exactly what a candidate did just now. Clicked apply and immediately called the office in follow-up. Interview booked for Wednesday! Emails rarely leave a lasting impression, if ever! Conversations on the other hand.........................................................................
