BYME Engineering (Hong Kong) Ltd. VSL International Ltd. Bouygues Construction Australia A W Edwards will host Humans Matter to explore "The Ability to Act." This important idea means taking initiative and working well with our surroundings and the people around us. Why is it important? Because when we are able to act, we are somehow superwomen. We: · Are better at taking initiative and sustain our efforts, even if we encounter obstacles · Have a stronger self-confidence, fueling our ability to take initiative and keep engaged, motivated · Better regulate our stress and emotions, as we understand ourselves and our triggers better · Are more creative, especially when facing complex situations · Build better relationships, as we are able to listen, understand and support other. Although there is no fundamental gender differences when it comes to being able act, we, women, may be confronted to social, historical or cultural obstacles that may indirectly limit our ability to act. For instance when it comes to social expectations, risk taking, job promotion … Developing the ability to act is crucial because it helps us face challenges, grab opportunities, and create meaningful change. This is why we chose this topic, with the WeLink board, to empower each and every one of you today with this super-skill.

This week I had the honor of leading a Kunik session with the wonderful employees of Walker & Dunlop that explored the incredible power and influence of the Latinx diaspora. The energy was electric and sparked a conversation that focused on ways employees could not only celebrate and support Latinx colleagues but also infuse an awareness and connect business opportunities to this powerful population in current and future projects. Here's what made it special: 1️⃣ Eye-Opening Stats: Hispanic homeownership hit 49.5% in 2023, with 9.5M+ Hispanic households owning homes! 🏠📊 2️⃣ Collaborative Innovation: Attendees dove into breakout rooms, sparking innovative and actionable ideas to support the Latinx community. 3️⃣ Community Impact: We discussed ways to create more access and equity for the Latinx population through Walker & Dunlop’s current and future projects. 4️⃣ Lasting Commitments: Employees pledged ongoing support via individual actions and collective initiatives facilitated through their amazing ERG, Unidos to ensure Latinx communities are celebrated and supported all year round! 🌍 Happy International Men’s Day! 👷♂️✨ Today, I celebrate men from all walks of life for their contributions to society, their resilience, and their commitment to making the world a better place. As a Civil Engineering Professional, I feel especially proud to stand among the men who help shape the physical foundations of our world, creating structures that connect, protect, and inspire communities. This year’s theme, “Positive Male Role Models,” reminds us of the importance of highlighting and celebrating men who inspire us to be better those who lead by example, demonstrate integrity, and positively impact their families, workplaces, and communities. As Civil Engineers, our role extends beyond constructing buildings, bridges, and roads; we are also responsible for building relationships, fostering teamwork, and promoting diversity in our industry. By serving as role models, we can influence the next generation of engineers and leaders to approach their work with dedication, compassion, and excellence. Celebrating is in our DNA at TPN, and this month we're marking the second work anniversary of COO Mark Johnson, who came to us when we merged with Evia in 2023. Anniversaries put people in a reflective mood, so we asked Mark to answer a few questions: The best part of my job at TPN? "Getting the chance to drive company strategy around our sales and servicing of technology for our customers." The worst part? "My distance from the lines of business outside of event technology. We are an incredible production agency, and there is so much that I have to learn about that side of the business. In our jobs, we are constantly prioritizing our focus, and sometimes we miss out on very cool things as a result. It’s a good problem to have." My first live event? "I was attending a play with my mom and sister and the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, MN. It was important to my mom that I be exposed to some culture other than that of the small mining community where I grew up. I remember being absolutely mesmerized by the scale of the place. It was unlike anything I had ever seen as a small-town kid from the far northern reaches of my state, and it impacted me greatly." Passions outside of work? "When I am not working, I spend my time engaged in the lives of my daughters. Much to my dismay, they are already 11 and 13 years old and I don’t want to miss a moment. Sharing highlights from our annual Prozone Xpress Logistics Inc Sportsfest: I've always wanted to celebrate our anniversary through movement. Movement, to me, is healing—it's fun and promotes teamwork, which is one of our core values. It's a value I hope everyone embraces, not just today but in everything we do. While we’re usually focused on delivering for our customers, today was about switching things up—a chance to unwind, reconnect, and strengthen relationships across teams. Sometimes, having fun is just what we need to refresh and refocus. As part of the day, we also shared some guiding principles for success: ✨ A positive outlook to inspire ourselves and others 💪 Hard work to drive progress 🛠 Resourcefulness to tackle challenge This year’s theme is captured beautifully in a song my son created using AI—an idea inspired by a lesson he picked up from Eric P., a tech leader we met in Bali.
