Jupiter Wagons Limited’s Post

At Jupiter Wagons Limited, we have been aligning our initiatives with the NRP’s Mission 3000 MT, which aims to achieve 3,000 million tonnes of freight volume by rail by 2027. This mission focuses on identifying and prioritizing essential capacity enhancement projects and formulating strategic interventions to shift more freight to railways, thereby boosting efficiency and reducing costs. To support this national vision, Jupiter Wagons is significantly expanding its production capabilities. We are augmenting our capacity both in terms of foundry and wagon production in our Kolkata and Jabalpur plants. Our foundry in Kolkata currently has a installed capacity of 35000 tonnes per annum which we will increase by 8,000 tonnes per annum. This is a crucial step in meeting the growing demand for advanced mobility solutions in the country. Additionally, the Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) are pivotal to the achievement of this mission. The recent announcement of three new corridors will enhance multi-modal connectivity, improve logistic efficiency, and reduce freight costs. Our latest Double-Decker SUV Carrier Wagons, which are taller and have a greater capacity for automobile transport, are designed to maximize the benefits of the DFCs. These wagons are well-suited for DFCs and can also operate efficiently across most of the Indian Railway network. Through these initiatives, Jupiter Wagons is committed to the achievement of Mission 3000 MT and ensuring that we stay at the forefront of enhancing India's logistics landscape. #JupiterWagons #Mission3000MT #FreightVolumes #RailwayLogistics #CostReduction #MobilitySolutions
