As the expansion of agricultural lands continues across Asia, human-macaque interfaces also rapidly increase. And macaques are being labeled “pests” for existing and eating food… Habitat loss forces macaques to feed on what they can find in these plantations, farms, or housing areas. But after suffering their loss of homes, they are being killed most painfully by ingesting poisoned baits! Then, as if to make a point about the interconnectedness of nature, poisoned bodies don’t just disappear; they end up in the environment consumed by other living beings, spreading the pain far and wide. There are no quick fixes to negative human-wildlife interactions. Fast solutions often end up creating more problems down the road. That’s why scientists and conservationists are working with local governments and communities to devise coexisting solutions. Be patient - as Adhvaya: Beyond Barriers says: "it takes a whole village!" #macaque #welfare #primate #poison #cruel #dangerous #farm #plantation #rat #coexist #contraception

I struggle with getting to a place, being ok, to attend a workshop ~ and I don't remember it, as I am so wiped out afterwards. This is why I chose to help people, like me who have limitation, to be able to learn new skills, increase capacity, connect with others, live a healthier life ~ the best life you can, with an online program. Welfare trained as well as aquaculture trained, I have an understanding of both worlds. Aquatic care, and the struggles of life.
