Last week, we proudly announced the opening of the first Literacy Lab in the region, dedicated to enhancing education for People of Determination. But that’s not all—we've also been assembling our Key-X keyboards with students from ZHO, made by People of Determination, for People of Determination. 💪 This partnership marks a new chapter in our mission to create employment opportunities that empower individuals and foster inclusion. Three weeks ago, members from GAMBICA's industrial and university sectors gathered to share best practices on collaboration between industry and academia at this year's COLLABORATE! event. Reflecting on the day's highlights, here is Neil Harrison's overview of KROHNE's journey from a small connection made through GAMBICA to a part-funded PhD sponsorship in just four years! Neil shared these eight tips for starting an effective collaboration journey: · First identify if collaboration with academia is right for you and your goals · GAMBICA and its University & Industry Collaboration Group (GUIC) can give guidance · Don’t be afraid to initiate the process · Contact universities directly or attend careers, employability events, etc · Find the ‘right’ partner and the ‘right’ people to talk to · Consider ‘giving’ before ‘receiving’ · Don’t be sceptical about making use of funding schemes (universities are well set up to support partners with applications) · Don’t be put off by IP concerns “The journey has only just started, but for KROHNE and its employees, the experience so far has been motivating and rewarding." #collaborate24 #guic

Although it's been just over a month since this remarkable event took place, I can still feel that great energy!☀️ Opening another edition of our #YouthEmpowered program, we met #online & #offline with nearly 10,000 eager to learn youths from #Estonia, #Latvia #Lithuania & #Poland 🙌✨ We have reached a record number of participants since the first edition of #YouthEmpowered in Poland & Baltics! 🎉 That was a firm step into another year with our program. And the recruitment is still open, so we are not slowing down! 🍀 As Coca-Cola HBC we committed to support 1 million young people on their career path! 🌍💪🎉 This year opening event and the program is enriched by the #Skills4Future premiere, the platform created by Mentors4Starters , with financial support from @The Coca-Cola Foundation. It is designed to support #Youth in the labor market, increase their #technological and #digital skills, encourage #creativity and #entrepreneurship and highlight the importance of #mental #health. It has been only a month and more than 1,000 people have started using the platform and some of them have already reached their first certifications!
