Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay. There will be a lot of noise online about how important today is, which can often make it difficult to hear properly. We’re cutting through that noise for you, and giving you the facts. 1 in 5 UK employees took stress-related leave last year. Drop us a DM if you want to find out how we can make a true impact with personalised mental health support in your organisation. Kibou can’t solve the whole problem, but we are making a big dent in it for users and their loved ones. Even though this video was recorded a few years ago, its message is more relevant now than ever. We've made great strides when it comes to mental health awareness, yet the stigma still lingers. Too many of us hesitate to seek the help we need because of outdated misconceptions and societal pressures. 💡 The Truth: Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. It's a proactive step towards a healthier, happier you. Mental health services are not just for those in crisis—they're for anyone wanting to improve their well-being. Group therapy and individual therapy provide invaluable support and fresh perspectives that friends and family, despite their best intentions, might not be able to offer. 💬 Let's Start the Conversation: Share your experiences, support one another, and let's collectively break down the barriers surrounding mental health. Know that you’re not alone, and there’s absolutely no shame in seeking help. #MentalHealthAwareness #BreakTheStigma #YouAreNotAlone

Another cracking Your Game Your Way session thanks to Anwar and Paul for hosting this conversation around mental health. Thanks to the speakers: ✨ Clarke Carlisle ✨ Sophie Cook FRSA ✨ Leah Hidden For your telling us your stories and experiences. One of the key points was from Clarke where he spoke about mental health needs to be continuously worked on similar like physical health and how football could be that vehicle to support a societal change towards mental health with it influence and power. Often we seek mental health support when we are at the bottom, and rightly so. But that help (if you can get access to it) is finite and ends when we are "stable" or seen as "well". If we had a societal shift to see mental health as something to work daily or weekly whether we are ill or well, we would see a healthier world with more emotional intelligence, compassion and resilience. This doesn't always have to be therapy (as much as I advocate it), it can be going to local community groups and opening up, it can be showing up to training sessions even when motivation is low, it can prioritising proper self care and knowing and enforcing your boundaries.

Today is World Mental Health day Research from the Mental Health Foundation states that almost 1 million workers in the UK workers were suffering from work-related stress, depression and anxiety in 2022/23 Unsurprisingly, a key support for people is simply the ability to talk about their mental health, and be truly heard. It is the need to belong. If someone opens up to you about their mental health challenges, don’t try and fix them and hold back with judgement. Let them speak, validate their experience and have some support resources to hand if they need them. And if you are struggling with your own challenges, reach out. You are definitely not alone and there is help out there💕 #diversityEquityInclusion #WorldMentalHealthDay
