📊🌍 How can we make data work for equitable education policies? In a blog post recently published by the Global Partnership for Education, I draw on the contributions of the GPE KIX Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia and Pacific (EMAP) Hub to explore this question. In the 36 countries served by the Hub, national representatives have identified the effective use of data in education policy-making as a key priority. We can also reveal that another video from this meeting is on its way.  Now some necessary information about the project:  🔗 The Pathway to Synergies initiative allows us to build on the know-how our partners have already created and apply this knowledge to research international programmes. This effort will help us firmly establish ourselves on the European Research Area map.    📅 The RIS4SEB project kicked off on June 1, 2024, and will run for three years. By the end of the project, we aim to develop policy recommendations to ensure that the knowledge gained is distributed and openly shared with national and regional Managing Authorities. Last week, on 10th–11th of December, coordinators of #EUSBSR Policy Area Innovation met in Helsinki to refine the Action Plan and set the stage for activities in 2025. 🔍 MeDeMAP Project Led by ten European institutions, MeDeMAP is a research project that aims to strengthen democracy by improving the responsability, transparency and effectiveness of media production. Therefore, the project focuses on understanding how different types of media contribute to democratic functions of various audiences and their political participation and the implications this has for democracy in general. Follow the money - How can skills of the future be identified and what contribution can #TeamEurope make? As speaker of the Practitioners' Network for European Development Cooperation's "Private Sector Engagement" working group, I invited jointly with Jakub Šimek, to discuss possible forms of cooperation with the private sector in the development of technical and vocational education and training programs (#TVET). What I have learned: - #Webcrawling is an appropriate method to identify labor market's demand - Organizing #cross-#institutional #collaboration promotes sustainable demand for skills and appropriate curriculum development. - TVET programs and the implementation of the #GlobalGateway should be closely coordinated in future: Where skills are lacking, positive effects on household incomes through infrastructure investment fail to materialize. - Development Cooperation Projects are able to present their #USP in 5 minutes: https://lnkd.in/etc-NvQU - More effective than predicting potential skills needs in the future for different economies is to follow the money and develop offers where large investments are made.

It'll uncover the challenges faced by each region, guide the selection of best practices, and set the stage for future exchanges of experiences to tackle these challenges head-on. 📈 🤔 Why stop there? 🤔 "KnowledgeAnalytics" is also diving deep into the realm of advanced analytics, including artificial intelligence, big data, and more. These tools have immense potential to enhance public interventions supporting knowledge transfer between science and business. 💡 Recently we met for the first 2 days kick-off meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania. It brought together key stakeholders, including Zita Duchovskienė, Salomėja Vanagienė, Kristina Babelyte-Labanauske, RTTP, prof. dr. Pranciskus Vitta for insightful discussions and networking opportunities. 🤝 📚 Day 1 was jam-packed with sessions covering project objectives, partner activities and best practices. The agenda was brimming with excitement and learning opportunities! Day 2 kicked followed by sessions on project management and coordination.
