An insightful Deep Sea Mining Summit we had this year!   It was an honour having Anantha Padmanabhan Jagannathan from SeaTech Solutions Europe GmbH to present and discuss ‘Sustainable Deep Sea Mining - Technological, Environmental, and Societal Approaches’ at the Deep Sea Mining Summit 2024 hosted by Deep Sea Mining Events by IQ Hub.   To quote Mr. Anantha “The 2024 DSM Seminar's coverage of topics was wide and balanced providing information and insights from experts on almost all aspects of deep-sea mining. We presented the importance of sustainability and the social impact of DSM without which a buy-in from all stakeholders is very difficult. Social impact assessment is as important as the environmental impact assessment. Deep Sea Mining can be an important contributir to the world economy provided we are able to make it sustainable and acceptable to all stakeholders. It was very interesting to participate in the DSM Meets in 2024 & in 2025. It was a great learning experience.
