AI is such a multi-faceted concept and issue across all industries. Regardless of your technical aptitude, it will come to affect you in some way. Call it the nerd in me, but I can't just sit with seeing AI portrayed as just "white" or just "black" magic in the tech domain. 🔮 ✨ That's why I started my blog redmage.cc earlier this month to speak on all kinds of topics regarding the AI space, and bring to light different perspectives of risks, challenges, and applications from a tech-lite approach. You don't have to be an engineer to be informed and have a voice when it comes to AI. Today, I published an article on AI and its effects on the environment after some inspiration from Matt Williams earlier this week. There's a good deal of effort put around the compute and progress AI can bring, but are we potentially incurring undue consequences as a result? 🍃 https://lnkd.in/gWdpzZb3 Please subscribe to my blog if you find the conversation insightful! Topic suggestions are also welcome, and I'd love to connect over some of these discussion points if people are interested. Thank you all!

OpenAI just released Swarm Swarm simplifies how multiple agents interact without relying on the Assistants API. - You can fully manage how agents interact and evolve. - Great for testing new multi-agent models. - Perfect for back-end systems, but you'll need to build custom front-end.

Here's my second video in the series I've been putting together for integrating @Griptape nodes with #ComfyUI. In this one I breakdown how to use Agent nodes. Agents are pretty powerful - they maintain context between runs, can be given rules on how to behave, and a lot more! Check it out and let me know what you think! Stay tuned for more.. :)
ComfyUI and Griptape Agent Nodes: Part 2 This video is a tutorial on Griptape Agent Nodes for ComfyUI. Here we focus on the "Run Agent" node, showcasing its use with a prompt that outputs a response using OpenAI's GPT-4 model. https://lnkd.in/gaJBfZKb #GriptapeAI #comfyui #imagegeneration #aitools #aiart #creativeautomation #pythonframework #openai #texttoimage #artificialintelligence #techtutorial #stablediffusion #AgentNodes #aiagents

I’m observing increased chatter around Google’s NotebookLM so I decided to experiment with the tool last night. In went our recent BJSS report - Embracing Tomorrow: Insights for Anticipating and Thriving in an Uncertain Future … and out came a short podcast in less than 10 minutes. You can listen here: https://lnkd.in/dW7v7rfa First thoughts are that the tool provides an interesting output, it feels more natural than some AI conversations, yet you can notice obvious flaws. The algorithm struggled to interpret some of the content, particularly the futures cone description which was very poor, bordering on a word salad. The delivery is somewhat cheesy and clichéd, yet it's still intriguing, especially considering this is an early version. I’m wondering how long it will be before we see a rush of content produced with NotebookLM, given its extraordinary ease of use and speed. I’m also wondering if this might be a slippery slope towards quick wins and shortcuts, rather than meaningful well thought out and crafted content. If so, this will quickly become a gimmick and the novelty factor will wear off. Nevertheless, it's enjoyable to experiment with new tools, especially ones that hint at bigger things to come. If you’d like to make your own comparison, please download the original report, and feel free to contact me to explore further: https://hubs.li/Q02thdvX0 [Note: No confidentiality was breached during this experiment. The document is publicly available and has likely been used to train various AI models since its publication - if you'd like to explore any ethical and responsible AI questions this may raise, my colleague Laura Musgrave would love to hear from you]
