Very often we are combine our Working at Height training with Medical First Aid training. This is a good combination that makes you aware of the risks, helps you understand the specifics of incidents that may occur during work at height. It allows you to practice evacuation and casualty handling scenarios. On the photo we can see a person being evacuated from a deep tank where working at height and confined space entry meet. This is one of the most difficult situations that can happen on board of the ship, and in this case, stopping the massive hemorrhage 🩸was a priority. #smtshipping #mfatraining #wahtraining #SMTshippingtrainingteam #stopthebleed Stay safe!

"53rd National Safety Week" Demonstration & Training Topic: First Aid, CPR and Health Awareness On 5th March, we had conducted First Aid, CPR and Health Awarness Programme for the Production & Maintenance, Quality and Shipping Employees during this Safety Week with the help of OHC Team. Purpose of CPR: With a half-million cardiac arrests each year, CPR increases the likelihood of surviving cardiac arrest, when the heart stops beating or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs. It’s not just for healthcare workers and emergency responders. CPR can double or triple the chance of survival when bystanders take action. The seven steps of CPR are as follows: 1. Check for Danger, 2. Call for help, 3. Check the Victim's Airway, 4. Give Two Rescue Breaths (30:2 ratio), 5. Perform Chest Compressions, 6. Switch Roles with the Compressor (if available), and 7. Continue Compressions until Advanced Medical help arrives.
