Hi Folks, This morning interesting appointment with Confindustria Assoimmobiliare and Renovit “Da criticità ad opportunità: strumenti e modelli per vincere la sfida della riqualificazione” How can challenges be transformed into opportunities using tools and models to successfully meet the renovation challenge? Moderator : sergio luciano Davide Albertini Petroni gianluca zonta Samah Mohamed Giacomo Savarese Guido Ghirardi Fabrizio Penna Let’s begin by analyzing the current situation in detail and our future targets. Some of the insight presented this morning. The first goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030, and the second is to achieve #carbon neutrality and #climate goals by 2050. Clearly, member states have been called upon to draft their own integrated national plan for energy and climate, known as the #PNIEC, which focuses on five key areas: #decarbonization, #energyefficiency, the internal energy market, #energy security, research, #innovation, and #competitiveness. Italy presented its plan in July this year, a very ambitious plan especially for two objectives: decarbonization and #energyefficiency. Investments in the real estate sector are planned between 2024 and 2030, amounting to approximately 157 billion euros. For achieving energy efficiency, three main categories have been identified. The first relates to #buildingrenovations in accordance with two directives. The first, known as the “green home” directive, aims to #reduce energy #consumption in the #residential sector by 16% by 2030, with an expected increase to between 20% and 22% by 2035. For the #nonresidential sector, it plans to renovate the worst-performing buildings, reducing energy consumption by 16% by 2030, with this percentage rising to 26% by 2033. Additionally, there is a requirement to install photovoltaic systems starting in December 2026 for all new public and non-residential buildings, and all fossil fuel boilers are expected to be phased out by 2040. As for the second goal related to decarbonization, there are essentially two objectives: the use of #renewable energy, with a projected 39% increase compared to 2005, focusing on other forms such as #solar and #wind energy; and the second objective is to reduce #CO2 emissions in sectors covered by the emission trading system by about 66%, while for sectors not included in the system, the reduction is about 41%. In this context, the plan also highlights enabling factors, particularly emphasizing the role and model used by #ESCOs (Energy Service Companies) in achieving these two goals.
