🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 I am thrilled to share that the first episode of the ESA documentary series on YPSAT-EYE2SKY also known as the Young Professionals Satellite, where I had the honor of leading the mechanical test campaign during its first milestones whilst I still worked at ESA as a YGT, has been released on YouTube! 🌌 After more than 2 years of dedication and hard work from the incredible team of the young professionals community at European Space Agency - ESA, all the experts support, YPSAT is set to launch on the maiden flight of Ariane 6 on July 9, 2024. Its incredible to see where it all began and what this team accomplished. The journey to get here proves the mission's success and the purpose of YPSAT. Cant wait for the maiden Ariane 6 flight🚀🔧🌟 Thank you European Space Agency - ESA and YPSAT for this incredible experience and for choosing this amazing photo as the documentary cover page. (Inside news, this photo was taken when we had observed some disturbances during the first ever random vibration tests in the out of plane axis at spacecraft level. This was further rectified after further investigation that one of the onboard component's supplier had forgotten to torque the screws leading to this). Funny thing is that since it was a completely closed component, so we spent quite some time thinking that the disturbance was caused due to a more critical failure in the spacecraft structure rather than a components interiors. ✨ Dream Big, Start Small - the first episode of the YPSat docu series ✨ 🍿 We are thrilled to share with you the first episode of our docu series which will take you through the story of European Space Agency - ESA's YPSAT, a mission flying on-board the inaugural flight of #Ariane6, Europe’s new heavy launcher. 🚀🇪🇺 👥 As #YPSAT has been successfully integrated and #Ariane6 is counting down the days to launch, we wanted to go back in time and trace the beginning of our exciting journey. This first episode documents the very first steps that led a team of Young Professionals with diverse backgrounds, nationalities and expertise, to gather around one passion and with one ambition; design, manufacture and send their own satellite to space. From the first meetings and initial ideas, discover how the team matured the satellite’s mission objectives and received the approval and support of ESA to kick-start the project. 🎯🏃🏼♀️ 🎞️ It was a real pleasure to work with Chilled Winston Studios who directed, filmed and edited our docu series.
