♻️ PROSPER at the European Bioplastics #EBC24 Side Event! 🌍   We were thrilled to join the event alongside BioSupPack, BIOMAC, MoeBIOS, and ReBioCycle. European Bioplastics presented its 2024 edition of the market development update during EBC24 taking place in Berlin, Germany and online. The report confirms the continuous growth of the global production capacities of bioplastics. “The growth in bioplastics production capacity should be seen against the backdrop of increasing consumer awareness of the environmental impact associated with the overall plastic consumption, underscoring not only the resilience but also the significance of our industry to contribute to sustainable solutions”, states Hasso von Pogrell von Pogrell, Managing Director of European Bioplastics (EUBP) #Bioplastics #sustainability #circulareconomy

Circle project will demonstrate at an industrial scale a first-of-its-kind retrofitted biorefinery for the valorisation of food waste streams and additional biomasses into high-value bio-based chemicals and intermediates, lactic acid (LA), including polylactic acid (PLA). Within this project, we lead social analysis, stakeholders' engagement and social acceptance activities.
