You can make product sustainability performance quantifiable and holistic. Here’s how. Product Sustainability Highlights from our latest report include third-party verification of the Beckers Sustainability Index, which gives us enormous confidence to talk about our products’ sustainability attributes in a detailed way. On top of this we have continued to strengthen our capabilities around Life Cycle Analysis – a crucial tool for us and our customers, but also for the whole value chain. What we've demonstrated again this year is that we can begin to build innovative models with our own coatings and then literally transfer these models into our customers’ models. Ultimately, it means our customers get an accurate and representative depiction of the part that coatings play in their final product taking into account multiple sustainability performance measures. 🍀 Have you already explored our 2023 sustainability review and how we're leveraging the Sustainability Compass in our product development? 💡 The Sustainability Compass, a key element in our product development, ensures responsibility and energy efficiency across the entire product life cycle. It evaluates eight dimensions – raw materials, packaging, virgin material, end-of-life reusability, recyclability, in-life energy consumption, carbon footprint, and financial cost – with the goal of reducing the impact compared to previous products. The compass and its use are constantly being developed, and 2023 was no exception. 💬 “In the development of new and existing products, the role of the Sustainability Compass has grown even further, and the tool has been updated, including new emission factors and more precise carbon footprint calculations.
