😄 We are proud to have been part of the NanoPAT project which contributes to reaching the UN's Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) No. 9 "Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation". 🎉 The project will improve on the current state of the art: "Nano-scaled materials are abundant in different stages of industrial manufacturing. Physical and chemical properties of these materials are strongly dependent on their size. Characterisation of mean size, size distribution, and shape of nano-scaled particles is very critical for the quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes. Yet, conventional characterisation technologies still show manifold shortcomings which represent a major innovation obstacle for manufacturers of nanoparticles." https://lnkd.in/d8Sii6MH #industrialwater #drugdelivery #microplastic

Help Flow Batteries Europe Help You! See the important survey below. Let’s ensure that Europe’s policies also provide broad support for emerging flow battery technologies like Iron Salt Batteries (ISBs) and other flow battery technologies. Here's some concrete examples, Europe can build on: Targeted LDES Procurement: California has committed to 2GW of Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) by 2037, specifically for non-Li Technoloiges. This helps push these technologies down the cost curve. Europe should adopt similar forward-thinking procurement strategies. California Public Utilities Commission Testing Infrastructure: The Grid Storage Launchpad at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory allows real-world testing for grid-scale storage technologies. Europe would benefit from similar testbed initiatives, building market confidence in new battery systems. Early-Stage R&D: Europe had a great idea with its initiative supporting non-lithium battery technologies (such as the call HORIZON-CL5-2024-D2-01-02). There’s a clear need for calls that specifically target flow battery innovations, providing sustained funding for technologies like the ISB. This can mirror the successful BATT4EU initiative. Such focused support is key for advancing emerging solutions. At VoltStorage, we are excited about the potential of our Iron Salt Battery (ISB) to contribute to Europe’s energy security and independence, thanks to its sustainability and low-cost materials. Supporting a diverse range of flow battery technologies will be key to a resilient and green energy future. #EnergyStorage #Innovation #LDES #IronSaltBattery"
