How have you seen benefits evolve over your time in this industry ❓ 🤔 Remember a time when benefits were a standardized package, a one-size-fits-all approach that didn’t always meet employees’ needs. 🔹We’ve come a long way from the days when wellness meant solely physical fitness. The limitations were clear: no Peloton, no holistic approach to health, and certainly no recognition of mental or financial well-being. 🔹Employee perks were equally restrictive. A rigid catalog of discounts offered little to no personalization. 🔹Family benefits were even more limited, primarily focused on childcare and lacking in support for modern family structures. ✨ Today, we’ve made significant strides. Employers now understand the importance of a holistic approach to well-being, offering programs that support physical, mental, and financial health. Gone are the days of rigid perk packages; today, employees enjoy the flexibility to choose benefits aligned with their individual needs. Furthermore, the modern workplace recognizes the diverse needs of families, providing support beyond childcare, including fertility treatments, elder care, and adoption assistance.

Henriette Morton of BridgehouseLaw recently received a breast cancer diagnosis, highlighting the importance of health screenings & compassionate workplace policies. Her story, coupled w/ the firm's Unlimited Paid Time Off (UPTO) policy, shows how supportive work environments make a difference. Reinhard's response was immediate & compassionate: "Whatever you need from us, you have it. This is why we now have UPTO." This support allowed her to focus on her health. UPTO has helped her manage her appts. & treatment. Its flexibility ensures her medical needs are met w/out rigid schedules. "It's a well-designed system," she adds. Culture of Compassion BridgehouseLaw's supportive environment has significantly impacted her morale. "There have been times I break down & cry. No one tells me to get over it. They encourage it.” This empathy has empowered with strength & resilience. Her advice to others is to prioritize health, communicate openly w/ employers, & lean on support systems. She emphasizes expressing emotions & asking for help. Shaping the Future: UPTO She believes companies can better support employees w/ serious health issues by fostering a compassionate & flexible work environment. Policies like UPTO can make a significant difference. She advocates for clear communication about employees' health & well-being, providing access to mental health resources, etc. Looking ahead, her hopes focus on her health & well-being. She aims to continue contributing to her team at BHL, advocating for policies that support employees facing health challenges. "The UPTO policy at BHL is shaping our work culture in incredibly positive ways," she says. Encouraging Preventative Health Her story reminds us of the importance of regular health screenings. We encourage everyone to prioritize health by scheduling yearly exams. Encourage your circle to go for check-ups too. BridgehouseLaw's commitment to compassionate & flexible workplace policies sets a shining example. By embracing modern, supportive measures like UPTO, companies can create a healthier, more productive, & engaged workforce. The future of work is about flexibility, compassion, & support—embrace it, & watch your organization thrive.

Hours worked per week, scheduling flexibility, and PTO contribute most to caregivers' sense of work-life balance. Caregivers are also more likely than non-caregivers to say that a supportive supervisor and a hybrid or remote schedule help as well. 💡 What other aspects could help caregivers (or workers in general) with their sense of work-life balance? https://smpl.is/91x9r #GreenwaldResearch #marketresearch #ebri #workplacewellness #caregivers #caregiving #employeebenefits #wellness #worklifebalance #remotework
